And, yes, I am well aware that it is difficult to almost impossible to get a proposed amendment passed.
It could not be hijacked.
The convention is just to propose amendments.
The states themselves would still have to ratify them for them to take effect.
In actuality, the conservative states outnumber the liberal ones quite considerably. The problem is the population centers.
If anything, the left would be terrified of how much we could get accomplished by going this route...

What RINO amendment would pass be passed by 2/3 of the states?
As Levin says, we are currently operating extra-constitutionally, and our ONLY legislative hope is Amendments proposed by a convention of the states.
