I have often wondered the same thing.
Because they're above all that. It's not who they are. They will not stoop to the level of the Clintons. It was a long time ago.

Simple. The media cartel, MSM, whatever you wish to call it. In 1996, it had so much clout it could sweep a rapist into the White House and prevent any Senator from looking at the evidence in an impeachment.
Now, they traded so much credibility for momentary power that the new media prevents them from controlling the agenda. Trump’s tweets reach more people than the NYTs.
The media cannot cover for Hill and Bill anything like they used to.
Republicans who learn to use the new media win, like Cruz, and I suspect, Trump. Those that do not are the GOPe.
Maybe the Clinton’s don’t have FBI files on Trump...
