There was an article in the latest AMERICAN HANDGUNNER by a David Kaplan, resident of NYC, about what he had to go through to get his permit to own a gun. You might find it worth reading.

On particular point. He had to fill out a PDF on line, which couldn't be saved. Once filled out, he had to print it and take it to the police. My suggestion: print out the blank form. Either fill it out on a typewriter (remember those), or scan it into a word processor and fill it out. Then you can save it on your own computer, and print it out.

Being on this board for a while now, I feel violated of one of my basic rights, and after shooting them in Vegas, I found it Very exhilarating.

It NEVER occurred to me that this thing I was holding was inherently dangerous. Unless an inherently dangerous person was holding it.
