what does this “hatred” consist of? I look at the site a good bit and I haven’t seen any “hatred” toward Cruz. Is there a link to any of it that you can give us?
Very Simple
Ted Zeppelin is in Trump’s way, gotta be deflated and knocked outta the ring for Trump to win. Politics are not known for a nicey-nice quality.
His Time is Gonna Come
Yes, the really nasty vitriol is gushing from certain Cruz folks.
See it quite often. Quite Nasty. I guess they are scared.
You must have me confused with someone else. I never used the word "hatred." I said "vitriol."
President Cruz, after a brief interlude to symbolically slap a few abusers on the wrist, will keep that h-1b visa thing going. I just instinctively know it.
Very well put.
You must be a union thug.
“certain Cruz folks”
Yes, just a few prolific idiots.
I’m a Cruz supporter and I have nothing but scorn for them.
There is more of the run-of-the-mill partisan silliness from Trump supporters, there’s more of them.
Well, the question remains: Where is the vitriol. I have not noticed any.
H-1B visas are for undercutting software STEM jobs. None of which are unionized jobs.
Cruz supporters didn’t create Trumps past, Trump created it.
Ignoring Trumps past as if it doesn’t exist is deranged.
I came back to FreeRepublic after a long absence as a break from defending Trump and his supporters on Twitter even though I support Cruz. The establishment goons were insulting, haughty, and clearly displayed everything wrong with the modern GOP. When I returned I was shocked to see how Cruz and those who support him are treated by Trump supporters at FR. As someone who defended Trump’s supporters it has definitely had an impact.
Honestly, I ignore it. Sometimes, it amuses me. Posters are passionate; a select few are pathologically over-emotional.
Don't let it bother you. Things uploaded to this forum are just that: things.
Here's my position: Ted Cruz is a fine man. If he could somehow be made President, he'd do a good job. If he somehow gets nominated, I plan to vote for him.
HOWEVER
I dispute that, in a country that gave "Obama" 69 and 65 million votes, that Ted Cruz can be elected President. I do not believe he can win any state that Romney lost. I believe 207 electoral votes is a ceiling that he can't surpass.
And, furthermore, his skills at rhetoric, logic, and the US Constitution make a seat on the Supreme Court (for life) a much better fit for him.
I dwell among Reagan Democrats, and I have since 1980. They all love Trump. They all hate Cruz.
Is it logical? No. But picking the President by universal franchise voting is stupid.
However, that's how we do it.
The above analysis leads me to support Trump.
For this, all I get from Cruz supporters is ridiculous abuse. And, on the other side, I don't see any abuse (other than a settled belief that he can't win) at all.
point in case, pretty much anything you post in a Cruz thread.
“I cannot understand hatred for T. Cruz and I cannot understand hatred for D. Trump. I would be satisfied with either.”
ME TOO.
Everyone needs to get a grip. The enemy is Clinton and Obama and Sanders.
If Cruz or Trump gets the nomination, they get my vote.
It would not be the case for Romney, Dole, or any other politician that doesn’t want to restore this country.
Did you even read the article, or are you just taking the headline to it personally?
Vice versa my friend, and I don’t like the vitriol coming from some for supporters of either candidate, and the candidates themselves.
I support Cruz, btw.
People who believe the establishment fears Cruz more than Trump are people who think Cruz is going to win and change the country. They may love Ted Cruz or they may hate him, but they think he's going to succeed in fundamentally changing things.
The GOP Establishment doesn't think Ted Cruz is going to win or change anything, so -- as much as they dislike him -- they don't fear him all that much. I think they fear Trump more. Win or lose Trump is going to shake things up, maybe disastrously so.
Cruz is a politician they don't like, but someone who's recognizably part of the club with similar qualities and abilities to other politicians. Trump is a real unpredictable wild card, and that's what they fear most.
They don't like Ted Cruz, but they don't think he's going to bring in all the changes that some people expect from him, so they aren't that scared of Ted, however much they dislike him.
