[history]
Former Marines in Congress, including a liberal Democrat, are on the offensive against Navy Secretary's Ray Mabus' sweeping edicts to the Corps on women in combat.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, a former Marine officer in Afghanistan and Iraq, accused Mr. Mabus on Tuesday of "destroying the martial fabric of the Marine Corps."

Articles have been posted on this but this is just a reminder that Congressman Duncan Hunter couldn't be more right about the sorry excuse we have for the SECNAV, Ray Mabus.
Of course Mabus is just doing the bidding of his boss, the Drama Queen who is now spewing his same old rhetoric giving the SOTU address, birds of a feather.

Ex-Marines in Congress say Navy chief destroying Corps by forcing integration of women When the next President is sworn in, I hope he demands the resignation of everyone who participated in this integration of women bullsh*t.
As Franklin (I think) said. "Those who would trade freedom for security, deserve neither freedom or security."
In this case, it is the lives of our soldiers for their career security. They don't deserve a career in our armed forces if they participated in this soldier killing affront to sanity.
They should have resigned first. Now they should be made to resign.

The Navy is no place for Marines to be. The Marines should defect to the Army.

"Mabus" is the name that Nostradamus gave to the Antichrist.
Just in case anyone was curious.

Ex-Marines? Former Marines?Really ignorant. Rowan Scarborough and his editor should know better. Once a Marine, always a Marine.

That’d be a hoot, the Corps would fight that harder than women in combat. :)

The Navy is no place for Marines to be. The Marines should defect to the Army. No way! Navy chow on board the ships of the Gator Navy is waaaaay better than Army mess hall rats!
Besides, how would the Army get us to the beach?
We'd have to remove the anchor from the Eagle, Globe & Anchor and replace it with an E-tool.
Lastly, Marines NEVER defect!
(and we'd never be caught dead in that silly black beret!)
:-)

I had heard the name before just couldn’t place it. Thanks.

"and we'd never be caught dead in that silly black beret!"
That's a good reason. ;-)

We did climb up and down those net-looking thingies once and used assault boats a few times. But really swim? Not so much. ;-)

We did climb up and down those net-looking thingies once and used assault boats a few times. But really swim? Not so much. ;-) Climbing down that cargo net hung over the side of the USS Alamo (IIRC) in Danang bay was a scary deal!
With my 90lb pack, if I slipped, I figured I'd sink to the bottom of the bay... or get smushed between the side of the ship and the hull of the P-boat.
