Nikki Haley promises next GOP president will ‘respect’ gay ‘marriage’ in SOTU response

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 13, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) - The next Republican president will "respect" different forms of marriages, including same-sex "marriages," South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said in last night's Republican response to the State of the Union address.

"If we [Republicans] held the White House," she said, "we would respect differences in modern families, but we would also insist on respect for religious liberty as a cornerstone of our democracy."

Even the terminology "modern families" evokes the ABC sitcom featuring a homosexual couple raising a child.

The GOP has been uncertain how to respond to the Supreme Court's Obergefell v. Hodges case, with only one of the top-tier candidates - Ted Cruz - campaigning for a Constitutional amendment returning the issue to the states.

Many candidates and the GOP's most powerful policy makers have instead said the GOP must "move on" from the ruling, accepting the 5-4 decision as settled law but acting to grant some protections to those who have religious objections to participating in same-sex "marriage" ceremonies.

The speech by Haley, who was hand chosen for the response by the Republican Party's leadership, amplifies that decision to accept redefined marriage as the new normal.

She also agreed with President Obama that Muslims should be allowed to continue immigrating to the United States, calling on Americans to reject "the siren call of the angriest voices."

"There’s a tendency to falsely equate noise with results," she said. "We must resist that temptation."

She later admitted her remarks were directed at Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump.

She concluded by vowing that modern Republican policies will "keep America the greatest country in the history of man. And woman."

[ They don’t even care about their own power. ]

Really makes you think about what they actually know vs. what we are allowed to know...

"Don't you see she is uncomfortable with everything conservative?"

Nikki Haley is uncomfortable with anything that doesn't give aid and comfort to the enemy.

She is a pathetic RINO who sold her endorsement to Mitt Romney for a $35,000 campaign contribution. She is instrumental in destroying SC culture by removing confederate symbols and who is surprised? This is what you can expect from someone who has no sense of American heritage because her heritage is Indian.

Nikki isn’t in a position to promise anything.

Her extra-marital history tells us that she is most comfortable positioned on her back..

The speech by Haley, who was hand chosen for the response by the Republican Party's leadership
Good work, Uniparty. Good work.
Watch for the strong socialist influence that is trying to take over both parties.

And of course, both parties merged into one, all but in name only. Six decades of subversion at work.

-— The GOP clearly has no interest in anything other than their own power. -—

It has to be at less partially true. But right now, if they simply wanted to hold onto power, they would portray themselves as conservatives.

Their ideology has been the same as far back as I can remember, which is social liberalism and crony/Wall Street capitalism.

Assuming that she was allowed to write he own speech, it’s obviously an attempt to raise herself as a possible vice presidential candidate. She panders to every group possible and echoes the establishment candidates while trying not to offend Trump too much. I doubt it will work.

-— Who the Hell chose her to give the response? Cripes- with ‘friends’ like her who needs enemies! -—

Rush’s explanation today was that SC is the Establishment firewall. Haley admitted today that her remarks were aimed at Trump. The media is now feting her, and Rush expects her to endorse the Establishment candidate in a few weeks.
