Nikki Haley promises next GOP president will ‘respect’ gay ‘marriage’ in SOTU response

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 13, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) - The next Republican president will "respect" different forms of marriages, including same-sex "marriages," South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said in last night's Republican response to the State of the Union address.

"If we [Republicans] held the White House," she said, "we would respect differences in modern families, but we would also insist on respect for religious liberty as a cornerstone of our democracy."

Even the terminology "modern families" evokes the ABC sitcom featuring a homosexual couple raising a child.

The GOP has been uncertain how to respond to the Supreme Court's Obergefell v. Hodges case, with only one of the top-tier candidates - Ted Cruz - campaigning for a Constitutional amendment returning the issue to the states.

Many candidates and the GOP's most powerful policy makers have instead said the GOP must "move on" from the ruling, accepting the 5-4 decision as settled law but acting to grant some protections to those who have religious objections to participating in same-sex "marriage" ceremonies.

The speech by Haley, who was hand chosen for the response by the Republican Party's leadership, amplifies that decision to accept redefined marriage as the new normal.

She also agreed with President Obama that Muslims should be allowed to continue immigrating to the United States, calling on Americans to reject "the siren call of the angriest voices."

"There’s a tendency to falsely equate noise with results," she said. "We must resist that temptation."

She later admitted her remarks were directed at Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump.

She concluded by vowing that modern Republican policies will "keep America the greatest country in the history of man. And woman."

Watch Chris Christie.

Something there is giving me a suspicion that he is going to be the GOPe’s go-to guy.

I wouldn’t even be shocked if he came in 2nd behind Trump for maximum exposure going into NH, where he has a better showing.

” The GOP has to “move on” from this ruling”.
As used by the GAP(Go Along Party), this “move on” phrase should be named the most stomach-churning phrase of the decade.

Isn't that the truth. And to think this thing actually used the platform of the Tea Party-to catapult herself into office. A reform branch for conservatives, and she used it just to join the enemy, the GOPe. She's not the only one-how many politicians now used the Tea Party to attain office only to immediately and without shame jump right into the ranks of the GOPe? Is there any organisation for conservatives that they don't infiltrate and use just to strengthen the Uniparty?

I did say “almost,” but I’m not aware of Palin’s position since the Extreme Court edict.

She says:
“The next Republican president will ‘respect’ different forms of marriages, including same-sex ‘marriages’”

And then in the next breath she says:

“we would also insist on respect for RELIGIOUS LIBERTY as a cornerstone of our democracy”

She needs to make up her mind.
Which is it?

The GOP has been working to rid the party of the conservative influence for years. Conservatives ruin their game of influence peddling and crony capitalism. Sarah Palin said it well:

“It’s called corporate crony capitalism. It’s not the capitalism of free men and free markets, of innovation and hard work and ethics, of sacrifice and of risk. No, this is the capitalism of connections and government bailouts and handouts . . . and influence peddling and corporate welfare.”

Agreed. The only reason she is not a Democrat is that their party is rocketing to the batdung looney Left at 900 MPH.

What a MAROON! She (to quote the military saying: "screwed the pooch" on national TV) spending her entire GOPE SOTU "rebuttal speech" trashing and attacking conservive Republicans, biblical, traditional American families and family vaues, and Donald Trump; the undeniable Republican front runner, instead of Obama and his utterly disastrous foreign and domestic policies which have intentionally destroyed the nation from within and without and broght America and it's citizens to their knees! And this dolt has the unmitigated gall to stand up for Sodomy and then think and say that she would "be open to being the Republican Party VP candidate"... the woman is delusional!

When Jimmy Fallon, on The Tonight Show recently asked Donald Trump the job interview question: "What do you believe is your greatest weakness?" His answer was telling: "I NEVER FORGET."

Needless to say, when TRUMP wins the Republican nomination for POTUS he will not "forget" the dissing, trash talk this RINO wench said against him and his policies before a national wide audience.

"Stick a fork in her, she's done", finished, kaput. Sadly, she is too full of herself and deluded to realize it.

I think the final numbers will come in at 18 million viewers on the alaphabet networks and 9 million on cable channels. That number, of course runs from 9:15-10:15 PM EST!!! The surrounding lead-in and post SOTU TV time shows dramamtic dropoff of TV viewers numbers.

The 2015 Obama, SOTU was 31 million total viewers, down from the 2014 SOTU of 38 million viewers......I do believe the 2016 SOTU Obama speech will come in at about 27-28 million viewers....terrible for a Potus SOTU!!! Bill Clinton drew 68 million viewers in 2000 and GW Bush SOTU drew 58 million viewers in 2003-4.

As for Nikki Daley....she had nowhere near what the POTUS drew for viewers!!! I predicted Obama would bomb and,,,,,I was right on the mark!!! He bombed with his town hall meeting on CNN and he bombed last night!!! The numbers tell the whole story!!!

The are roughly three hundred twenty million people in the USA. Obama would have needed at least 32,000,000 just to reach ten percent. He was not even close!!!

Nikki the RINO should be ran out of the State of South Carolina. My brother has lived in Charleston for 45 years and is well connected in republican politics in the state. From day one Haley has not been able to get along with state republicans and takes more vacations than Obama. From day one she had aspirations for bigger and better things for herself. She also ran the last time for governor saying she would protect the Confederate Flag. That was a big reason she was elected. Then she turns right around the spits in the face of the voters and throws the flag under the bus for political correctness. She needs to get hell out of the state. She has no connections whatsoever to the state and now she gets on national TV and instead of criticizing Obama she badmouths the republican leader for the nomination. Any day now she’ll endorse her RINO of choice little Ricky Ricardo Rubio. She also despises Cruz for one reason and one reason only. He’s a conservative. Maybe Hillary Clinton will pick her as her VP choice.

It’s a forgone conclusion she’ll go along with Linda Graham and that fake and fraud conservative Trey Gowdy and endorse Rubio. SC politics is controlled by establishment RINOs. The good thing about South Carolina is the voters despise most of them. Newt won SC four years ago in-spite of all the RINOs in the state, led by Haley endorsing Mr. Queer Marriage in America Mitt Romney.

My cousin, who is a civilian employee of the a Army, was having a conniption fit on Facebook over Haley’s remarks.

I just thought to myself, “Cuz, just go to Freerepublic and call her a tool, “ you’ll feel so much better.”

And I was right, I did.

This is South Carolina, after all. I’ve given up expecting them to do the right thing. See also: Lindsey Graham.
