Humans are naturally social beings, so, they’re going to set rules about who they associate with. That’s just the way it is. People who live together have to set rules to make it work. If you don’t like the rules, find another group.
whites don't have access to many of our lovely parks, or fairgrounds, or concert venues or city restaurants and movie houses JUST BECAUSE certain ferals have made so much of our America unsafe and unlivable..

although I know no one that would not be entirely hospitable to a black family moving in to their neighborhood, I doubt that they would purposely move into black areas...
The South has more neighborhood diversity than the Northeast.
There are (in absolute numbers) more poor whites than there are poor blacks.
The common denominator that Ferguson, Baltimore and Chicago have is single-party rule. When was the last time they elected a Republican to anything?

We tend to group in cultural/racial that we are comfortable with given the opportunity. Heritage, language, or general familiarity are drivers for such behavior. If I’m a lover of Brasilian pagode, I’m not going to want to hang in an area where people play country Western all the time. That’s a very shallow example but I don’t need to take it further, behavior tends to attract like behavior. In such environments, language can be a unifying factor making color insignificant. So many dynamics can come into play where common unifying factors drive grouping behavior. They play the same role in separating groups or setting them in opposition to one another. Just nature...
Cultural balkanization.
It is the war between individualism and collectivism. The left gets power through playing groups against each other. Black lives matter, Occupy Wall Street, War Against Women, One Percent attacks. The enemy of all this is white men who have jobs. The others feel entitled yo live off them.
Or downtowns, public transportation, and increasingly, malls
I don’t see any economic segregation here. A street over from me a millionaire has a truck driver on one side and a retiree in a 20 year old trailer on the other side.

Newer, recently built subdivisions in the suburban south are more likely to be integrated than liberal Northeastern enclaves.
Democrats keep them on the plantation and inhibit true economic and cultural integration. It is not in there best interest for blacks and whites to live together.
I find it interesting that this paper seems to suggest that we force them to live together.
Our neighborhood has a black family. The father drives a Mercedes, works 12-14 hour days in a business he owns and is a great guy. Did you get the working part? How about the father of a family part? None of my neighbors cares about his skin color since he works and pays for his house and family.
You can’t force people to do things they don’t want to do.
It was noted during cast lunch breaks during filming, the three, "species"(chimps, orangs and gorillas) would all sit in groups with those wearing like make up and costume.
