Your three points are all right in the mark.
And it is win-win in that if Trump is the nominee, this little tempest in a teapot may help Trump win New York.
No, he showed that there is a difference in values. If you think there is not, why are you on a conservative website? One assumes you’re a conservative. Now, Trump’s type of conservatism is unique. Support abortion. Fund Liberals. Get married three times. Hobnob with the Clintons. Bring them to your third wedding. Marry a nude model. Talk about having sex with your daughter. Claim Hillary’d make a great president. Say that Bill Clinton’s obstruction of justice, perjury, and sexual harassment are “unimportant.” These traits in the Trump profile sound like Liberal ones to me. And they sound more like New York than Peoria or Dubuque. But hey, that’s just me. Maybe conservatism has evolved to Trump’s New York values.

Yet for some reason they keep forgetting and end up calling him a racist, rapist, Xenophobe, Islamophobe, sexist, and all types of names. Not to mention the numerous leaks that the GOPe have been looking for a way to bounce him from the race.
They also devoted part of the SOTU and “response” to trashing him...because they luv him oh so much!
But yeah, they totally are “backing him”. Ok...

We are talking about Cruz being stupid for his comment about NY. Try to focus.

No, “NY values” include a whole state made up of millions of great people. It is a logical fallacy of reductionism to make a part represent the whole. There are liberal parts of NYC. There are also great values to be found there.
My comments about Cruz are twofold:
1. He is supposed to be smart. He was stupid in saying this.
2. He is supposed to be smart, but he has become a bad version of Ronald Reagan and ever other classic line. Does he not have original thought? Is he not smart?
BONUS #3 - he could do with less weasely lawyer-speak and more direct communication. He could use a good voice coach too, to help with the nasally voice.
As a conservative, he ticks boxes. As a leader, I’ve not seen it yet.
And Trump supporters who join libs in defense of liberal NYC values are doing what?

I said support him over Cruz.

Who is the we that’s talking? I posted a thread that isn’t talking to your points. So if you’re talking about Cruz being stupid, that’s you, not we. And you do think it’s okay that Trump said Iowans are stupid. That was certainly all inclusive. Not the type of remarks a leader makes. The elected officials tell us the where the majority values of New Yorkers are. It’s that easy to see.
1. Virtually everybody outside of NY, in “flyover country,” knows what NY values means, including NY FReepers, if they be honest. Cruz obviously wasn’t referring to 9-11, I’m sure he will tell us so.
2. This is a conservative website, and consistent with its social conservative values, FReepers stand against the kind of values “Babylon by the Hudson” is famous for. Probably even the NY FReepers if they be honest. (I’m not referring to the libertarian types on FR, they could care less about social conservative values)
3. How then is it, we see FR Trumpsters, surely social conservative else they wouldn’t be a FReeper, right? siding with the values of Babylon by the Hudson?
Something doesn’t compute here.
Cruz was spot on. Cruz represents the conservative values of this website. After last night’s debate, how can any FR Trumpster with social conservative values, remain so.
Cruz threw down the gauntlet last night on who is a true conservative, and who is not. Who is a bonafide FReeper, and who is not.
And Trump chose to identify with New York values.
This won't help him in blue states and counties.
