A lot has changed in 17 years...

9/11, the financial meltdown, and 8 years of hell under Obama. Many of us have evolved on a lot of issues in those 17 years.

Using a video clip from last century to attack Donald Trump is something the establishment tried back in August. It’s a rehash trying to discredit a man who answered all these questions then, and most of us, including many Ted Cruz supporters(and Ted himself) accepted that Trump has changed.

This is the Cruz campaign’s response to the BS birther argument... I get it, but it comes from the same place of desperation and like the birther argument I will ignore it.

It’s a tough job trying to dig Teddy out of the New York sized hole he dug.

This is an interview from decades ago.

And supporters of different candidates have been posting it here for the past 6 months.

Just go ahead and post it on breaking news.

Hahaha! Wow, like I haven’t heard that before from a clueless, head in the sand, Cruz supporter. What a shock.

You can support your fake used car salesman of a ‘conservative’ all you want. There’s one guy who actually WILL IMPLEMENT CONSERVATISM running in this race and his name ain’t Ted Cruz.

I would have thought Donald would have asked God for forgiveness for such beliefs.

People said a lot of dumb stuff pre-9/11. I wouldn't have voted for him last century.

I won't vote for him in this one, either. If the man reached 60 and wasn't siding with conservatives who were fighting to stop partial-birth abortion, he's a liberal still. A huge majority of Americans think it should be illegal.

He also criticized Mitt Romney for being too harsh with immigration, and said he loved him some government-run health care.

Who is he? Would he put a conservative on the Supreme Court? I have no faith.

He should be running in the Democrat primary.

The point of the video is that it describes New York values in Donald Trump’s own words.

He clearly says in this clip that he would not even ban partial birth abortion and he attributes this to his New York heritage and says that he might think different if he had grown up in Iowa. Again, game, set and match to Cruz.

Trump defined his NY values. Cruz simply called him out on it.

Cruz people are really reaching with this.

So Trump saying that NY'ers have a different culture and values than the rest of the nation is wrong? I thought he said he was never wrong, now I'm confused if he was right then he is wrong now, but if he was wrong then he can't say that he is never wrong. The hamster wheel of rationalization is spinning fast.

Cruz may hate New York Values but he sure loves New York money.

The point is that Trump acts like Cruz's saying that NY values are different than Iowa values is some horrific slam, when he truthfully believes the same exact thing, as does anybody with a brain.

It again reveals that Trump will lie and say anything he thinks will help his election, whether he actually means it or not. He's a carny barker.

Yes. This is getting out there. And Cruz had a great statement out today.

It’s interesting that this is dominating the news cycle.

I think it helps Cruz.

Well, getting the TRUTH out there always will help Ted Cruz and NOT help Trump. Hannity had brief outtakes from this interview on his show tonight. But he and/or his staff producers conveniently left out the part where Trump said if he had been raised in Iowa he would likely have had different values—he actually used Iowa as a state that had different values than he had after being raised in Manhattan with its New York values.

This has significance due to the clash over New York Values at the debate. In this clip, Trump attributes his pro choice in every respect position to having lived in New York all his life. He admits that his position might have been different if he had grown up elseware. In fact, he specifically mentions that his views on gays in the military might have been different if he had lived in Iowa rather than New York City.

This clip shows that Trump knows what New York Values are and how they differ from Iowa values. With this clip it is quite clear that Trump was being completely disingenuous when he tried to turn Cruz’s critique of New York Values into an attack on the 911 responders. Once Cruz runs this clip as an ad in Iowa, Trump might as well drop out of the Iowa Caucus race.

Obama was making statements right up to his election that revealed who he was. Trump is a family man, a successful businessman, a philanthropist and not the liberal pig you guys are trying to paint him as.

Trump is the only guy who can beat the establishment so keep playing your silly games. I absolutely guarantee you Cruz can’t win. The only reason he’s as high as he is in the polls is he’s been drafting Trump. He never would be there on his own.

Trump is a conservative, pro-life, pro 2nd Amendment, fiscal conservative, pro-military, and the list goes on. You’d better pray he’s the nominee or you’re looking at Bush.

Cruz doesn’t have a prayer of getting anyone nominated to the Supremes. He’s burned bridges with too many in power.

There’s one guy who actually WILL IMPLEMENT CONSERVATISM running in this race . . .

Are you referring to the guy who is running to the left of Bernie Sanders on Kelo? The one who praised single-payer in the middle of a Republican debate? The same guy who says the government should pay for unpaid medical bills? Is this the 'CONSERVATISM' you are referring to?

Why doesn’t the Republican party do anything about anything?

Good question.
