#6 There has been no thinning of the ice, Gore’s full of it.

#7 500 days, climate chaos, blah blah blah. Like Gore, the foreign minister (why that person? Wasn’t he busy inspecting elevators, or planning the next space mission?) of France was full of it.

#8 2013 is four years after 2009, Obama’s done nothing, the Earth’s still here.

#9 The first Earth Day was much more than 25 years ago, obviously it was more out of the ass talking by its sponsor. Wouldn’t be the longtime fugitive who fled to avoid prosecution for his murder of his physically abused girlfriend, by any chance?

#10 “nitrogen buildup” ?!? The atmosphere is 78 percent nitrogen, it’s a gas which is used by plants, and by some symbiotic bacteria associated with leguminous plants and (oddly) black alder.

If you haven’t read the book by Firestone that SC keeps putting out there, you are missing some really good arguments. I must say I found it quite convincing, especially the part about a widely spread carbon layer, and the topography of the bottom of Lake Michigan.

The Younger Dryas event is by far the best studied of the millennial-scale cold snaps of glacial time. Yet its origin remains a subject of debate.

A lull in solar activity perhaps? Is there any correlation between that time period and the solar cycle as best we know it?

Incidentally, I am all for global warming, as we have learned here it releases more moisture to the atmosphere and creates an overall greening of the land. I doubt carbon plays any role, however if it did it would be a welcome factor as we head into the current solar minimum, which may very well bring about a serious, extended cold snap such as the one experienced at out nation's founding, with all the drought, famine and political upheaval that entails.

However, it would be nice to save Venice first...

Watched an entertaining documentary last night, UK produced, narrator British, forgot the name. Showed a visit to an experimental station somewhere in Australia where that wretched carbon is pumped into what looked somewhat like a very high greenhouse, though open-sided. Weird. The concern due to measured results was increased plant growth...

You gotta see this. Must try to find it. On the driest continent on the planet, with a straight face, a scientist is talking about the dangers of run-a-way plant growth.

Mulch is all these so called experts are good for imo.
