Verizon didn’t drop the rates when they quit including the cost of the phone. I have about one year stuck with them before the last phone contract runs out, then I’m switching to someone cheaper, probably with GSM phones.

You could also see if Verison will give you a better deal by telling them what others are offering for your business

Not true. I was on the More Everything plan and paying $40 per month per line (4 lines). With 10 g data, the line charge dropped to $15/line as each phone went off contract. They never even told me. It just happened. Big savings. If you have 10 or more g data, stay on the more everything plan, but if not, it is cheaper for you to move to the new plan.
