Surprisingly good. Sarah Palin rallies the troops without a teleprompter. For Palin's 10 minute speech slide in near the end of the youtube video

I liked and supported Palin big time in 2008. I also supported and liked her endorsements, until she helped give us more Sen. McCain. I have been drifting away since that point.

A Trump endorsement makes no idea logical sense. His background has not been conservative, even by New York standards.che does not share ideological values consistent with the others she has endorsed (McCain is an otlier in that respect, too, but he’s not consistent with Trump either. I can only conclude that her motivation for endorsing candidates has changed.

The only thing I see that could explain this the Trumps strong “throw them all out” rhetoric. But, if he succeeds, what will we be replacing them with?

You are the one who doesn’t “Get it” regarding Trump. He is not primarily a vintage ‘80s conservative. He is a NATIONALIST. He is trying to save America from open borders, socialism (government takeover of medicine, global warming hoax, etc.) and globalist Trade agenda that is destroying economy. He is still the only one with the courage to call for banning Muslims until crisis is resolved—and this is not just about terrorism. Cruz needs to speak out soon on the TRADE issues especially as he has been SOFT on these globalist programs in the past. Trump’s TAX plan is also superior. Cruz missed the boat with his hidden, European-style tax . . . which I attribute to the fact he is a lawyer, not a businessman.

Don’t get me wrong -— Cruz is excellent by any recent standards of politician other that Trump. But it is time for a NEW REPUBLICAN Party that is thoroughly nationalist.

Courage and Trump in the same sentence?

Lol, did you see him read that K St lobbyist statement today supporting the ethanol subsidies??

What courage he has!!!

If you can’t stand up to a few millionaire corn farmers who pick the taxpayers pockets, you can’t stand up for “nationalism” or anything else.

What a joke!

And you people call yourselves republicans? I think you are not!

Judge much? You must be one of those Romney Republicans, who found the GOP light in 2012. Some of us have been fighting the good fight for a lot longer than that. Hell, Trump hasn't been a Republican for as long as you have. Some say he still isn't.

Excellent read, r&b!

If I may spin off your comment, (as the one of very few stable ones on the thread), I wanted to say that though Palin’s voice coach never existed, Palin was very strong and determined to come into Iowa today and give that speech, given her certain to be broken heart over her son, and his actions against this girl friend.

I appreciated that she was able to carry on, during an especially difficult 24 hours in her family, and I have not ever been a Palin fan in the past.

To be fair, there are a lot of Trump supporters here who were not fans of Palin. Funny how things can change.

True. Gives you whiplash, doesn't it?

Just watched the video of Sarah endorsing Trump. She’s a bit rusty, but she hasn’t lost a single ounce of fight and determination. Everything she said about Trump was right on the money, including when she called him, “the next President of the United States!”

Wonderful, uplifting speech, and she leveled both barrels at the enemies of the republic, as usual. God love this woman. She’s a patriot’s patriot, and I am so glad to see her coming out in support of the only candidate who has what it takes to turn our woeful nation around.

Michael Savage said on his show today that Cruz looks like a vampire

My wife thinks he looks (and sounds) like Mr. Hainey from Green Acres...

Holy crap that is hilarious. I bet the Trump campaign would pay money for the concept. Donald getting the self deprecation thing and all. “Its my hair. seriously, come touch it.” ROTFLMAO. The Trump campaign can make gold out of it. Send it on with accreditation to whomever did it.

My wife thinks he looks and sounds exactly like the Pentecostal minister that held a snake in front of her face at 5. (Never heard him speaking like anything but a preacher. Never heard the real Cruz.) That bothers me a bit. Trump.... WYSIWYG. Cruz.... Not sure.

Wissy wig (The way you say it) is a term computer people use to describe this concept. What you see is what you get. One of those industry acronyms that keep people out.

Might just be Trump thinking he needed a lift in the Iowa Primary and was willing to take the risk by announcing Sarah’s endorsement at this time...and nothing more to it then that. He sure didn’t look like he was all that excited while he stood there listening to her and the crowd didn’t go completely bonkers for Sarah as maybe he thought they would.....as some here mentioned...not everyone who likes Trump could say the same of Palin so this might work for a few voters there in Iowa...but it could go against him nationwide.

Agree Sarah is best in Cabinet Secretary position, but I vote EPA or Dept of Interior.

She is too big of a target as Veep and as other comments indicate, I don’t think she would swing any significant numbers of voters.

She has a really good track record - Jeff Flake, Kelly Ayotte, and Deb Fischer in Iowa. /sarc

Sarah won’t move a single voter. Not a one.

And therein lies the problem on our side - too many fools who make much of the smallest rumor about a potential flaw and who ignore reality when it slaps them in the face.

Make thyself useful...

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate (even if he's "rich enough to do it on his own") as the next President.
I donate to the candidate I support and you should too, else, your "support" really doesn't have any meaning.

It's even worse if you use FR and don't donate. If you are one of those who feel it's OK to use FR daily w/o helping pay to keep the lights on, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit. Also, don't be surprised if others decide that your opinions are as worthless as your non-donations - hypocrites aren't worth listening to.

PS - If you are one of those unlucky few who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

Donate to FR
