Speaking as just a humble FR poster, I think you're missing a key point, ru4. Free Republic is not your neighbor park, where anyone can (and should) be able climb up on a soapbox and say anything they want, PC or not. If someone wants to call Palin a drunk while up on that soapbox, I'll defend his right to do so.

But calling Palin a drunk on FR, nope, that's an entirely different matter. Not comparable at all. IMHO, of course.

You have GOT to be kidding me! While I agree that JimRob has the privilege, even the responsibility of restricting certain material here on FR, I have seen horrible things said of people who are not "approved of" in certain FR circles. Just HORRIBLE. Several come to mind, but I'll just mention Glenn Beck since yesterday I had the misfortune of clicking on a thread where he was being pummeled and ridiculed mercilessly. I've also seen people who were considered venerable conservatives for years on this board savagely trashed when they didn't hop on the Trump train or even stated the slightest disagreement with Trump.

I look for consistency on this forum. When I see inconsistency, I'm going to point it out, even when it puts folks like trisham on the run.
