DirecTV dropped them in a dispute awhile back and picked up Weather Nation. I switched to that. More like The Weather Channel was when it first started up.
TWC’s founder, John Coleman, made it a respectable operation.
It is now owned by NBC Universal, which should explain its current deranged presence.
Yes in 2008 Weather Channel was purchased by NBCU (Comcast) with the agenda driven intent to promote the climate change theme. I suspect it’s been a brilliant political move, although their financials suck.
