Dole’s “endorsement” was weird. Dole has endorsed Jeb. Now, with things getting interesting in Iowa, Dole says Trump is a better choice than Cruz. That’s not exactly endorsing Trump, but it sure works that way!

Dole’s endorsements are triangulating in GOPe order of preference. Nothing more. Nothing less.
His only critizism of Cruz is that his election would hurt the GOP. That means he blelieves Trump to not only not be the Establishment destroyer he claims to be, but a closer ally than Cruz.
