Donald Trump Twice Dumped Republican Party

Here is a history of Trump’s voter registration since 1987:

* JULY 1987: Trump registers for the first time from his Fifth Avenue penthouse. The real estate developer, 41 at the time, reports having previously been registered from his boyhood home in Queens (though his prior party affiliation is unclear). Trump enrolls as a REPUBLICAN.

* OCTOBER 1999: Trump dumps the GOP and enrolls as a member of the INDEPENDENCE PARTY.

* AUGUST 2001: Trump enrolls as a DEMOCRAT.

* SEPTEMBER 2009: After eight years as a Democrat, Trump returns to the REPUBLICAN PARTY.

* DECEMBER 2011: Trump lasts two years before he again abandons the party of Ronald Reagan. He eschews the GOP in favor of siding with no party. On his registration form, “The Apprentice” star checks off the box marked “I DO NOT WISH TO ENROLL IN A PARTY.”

* APRIL 2012: Trump registers as a REPUBLICAN.

Who cares! Bulid the WALL.

He will build the wall like he said. After all it is already a law that has never been funded. He then will let the illegals have amnesty in exchange for the money to build it.

“So when you are proven wrong, how much will you be donating to FR?”

If Trump gets elected, proves me wrong and truly “makes America great again” I would gladly donate to Trump! I want this country to rebound and thrive again.

I only see Trump as a fraud and charlatan and someone truly thinks he is bigger than God (”I don’t need to ask God for forgiveness). The only thing that matters to Donald Trump is Donald Trump.

Never said it was. There are people here that like to make outlandish claims like they are all knowing of what is going to happen. I’m just posing the question of if they are wrong, will they make a contribution to Free Republic?

I would say almost every conservative on here would dump the Republican party today if there were a better alternative.

Some don’t have much of a choice when it comes to voting in primaries. It’s called closed primaries. Several states have them and there are several states where the party can decide to make the primary closed for that year.

That went right over your head apparently...

It isn’t winning putting a New York liberal in the White House. He’ll do what New York liberals do and you’ll be wondering what happened... Meanwhile we all lose.

Thank you FRiend, the original image (as most boxing fans will tell you) was that of Ali vs Liston in 1965, that photo has been used numerous times since then, I recall one showing Richard Nixon standing over his opponent glowering at him, that was truly a memorable scene.

Haha, Oprah as VP...

His positions then were banning “assault” weapons, pro abortion, single payer healthcare, etc...

How so? Trump didn’t take out a personal loan to finance his campaign and failed to report it to the FEC. Those loans were for his business, not him personally.

At one time or another Trump has said just about everything possible on the issues. His “position” is only a matter of when you look. It blows with the wind depending on the goal at the time.

And the wind really blows in DC...

“How so? “

Yes, Cruz took personal loans for his campaign that were paid back in full.

The point is that Trump was also working with GS and CITI to finance his building projects. Isn’t is hypocritical for him to slander Cruz for essentially the same activity....borrowing money from these banks?
