Donald Trump noticeably absent from GOP candidates standing for life on anniversary of Roe
Live Action News ^ | Jan. 22, 2016 | Kristi Burton Brown

On the 43rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, many GOP presidential contenders were not silent. While Democrats Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton continue to defend the horrors of abortion, Republicans Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Rick Santorum, Carly Fiorina, and Ben Carson took to social media. Recognizing the tragedy of over 58 million lives lost, these candidates explained why they stand for life.

Donald Trump, however, has been silent on abortion, the March for Life, and Roe v. Wade all day. He is the only GOP front runner to avoid making a statement. Issues concerning Trump’s pro-abortion past continue to rise – including his statement that his sister would be “one of the best” justices for the U.S. Supreme Court, despite her ruling in favor of partial-birth abortion as a circuit judge.

Trump’s lack of a statement on the anniversary of Roe further illustrate the muddle he is in with pro-lifers and conservatives. His statements are viewed by some as very concerning, including his recent observation that “[W]e have to look at the positives, also, for Planned Parenthood.”

It’s not common sense to keep doing the exact same things that have kept the abortion holocaust going for 43 years.

Actually, now that I think about it, Albert Einstein had a better word for doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Voting for McCain, Romney, and now Trump, would be doing the same thing, and that’s INSANE.

I bet you don’t even like Rick Santorum.

I don’t like any of them. They are all compromised on the most important matter facing the country, which is the continued abandonment of the irreplaceable concepts of God-given, unalienable rights and equal protection under the law.

Which guarantees that even if they “win” abortion on demand continues unabated.

I was a Roberts’ supporter as well, and I was also an Alito supporter. One of them disappointed me; one of them is EXCELLENT!

Sometimes we don’t know, but if Donald Trump picked someone like his pro-partial-birth-infanticide sister, as well as pro-eminent-domain judges, we will lose, and lose, and as Trump would say, we would have LOSERS! Of course, Trump would be the one choosing the losers.

“I don’t like any of them. ..”

You never do.

If you want someone to think exactly like you, you need to run yourself.

Did you know that between 1-2 million abortions were being done yearly in the US in the 1920s?

Making things illegal does not stop them from happening. Paul said the law contains no power to live it.

“What is the difference between Cruz supporters and Obama supporters?”

Cruz supporters are thinking people. Obama and SOME, not all, Trump supporters are eomotional types, who vote on liking a person’s personality, regardless of substance.

Human government is not capable of stopping all murders. All it can do is act as a restraining moral and legal influence by maintaining just laws, and by punishing evli-doers.

And Ted pushed Roberts for the Chief Justice. One of his first actions was to saddle us with Obamacare. His reasoning wasn’t even submitted by Obama’s legal team.

Thanks Ted.

Trump will have to go a hell of long way to do something worse than that miscue by Ted.

Not really interested in giving him a mulligan either.

I agree that well-meaning presidents don’t always know.

However, if they don’t even TRY, I’m sure you will agree, it will be much worse.

And Ted pushed Roberts for the Chief Justice.

No, actually Cruz pushed for Michael Luttig. But once Bush nominated Roberts, Cruz supported his boss's choice. Are you saying if Trump was president, people in his administration should publicly oppose his appointments???

You know, Ted backed Roberts.

That’s on him, not me.

One other thing that is interesting is that Sanger was generally opposed to abortion.
