220 people working at Colowyo mine, some 180 more at the Trapper Mine, and 300 at the Craig power plant, coal is the economic backbone of the region.

I work for a railroad that USED to to haul coal out of that region.
Our railroad just abandoned that area due to loss of coal traffic.
Don’t ignore the trickle down effect. The loss of a primary producer job causes far more job losses down the line.

The ARCO coal mine east of Paonia is the cleanest mine I have
ever seen, and it feeds two coal trains daily.

Don't forget the 350 miners at Twentymile producing almost a third of the coal mined in Colorado, or the 90 operators at Hayden Station generating just shy of 500 MW for the grid. Then there's Sage Creek Mine, developed and sitting idle for about 4 years.
It's much better to buy gas from out-of-state producers than pay wages in Colorado. Nobody is going to miss the Community Development grants funded by NW Colorado mineral severance taxes either.

Sierra Club and Earthjustice are well funded ecoterrorists who brought huge killing machine wolves to the west and Midwest.
I detest them more than I can find words to express it.

50,000 of whose supporters commented on the proposal. Others included 50,000 from the Sierra Club, 33,000 from Friends of the Earth, 12,000 from the Climate Reality Project, 6,000 from WildEarth Guardians and 1,000 from the Center for Biological Diversity. How many live within 500 miles of the project?
How many wrote more than once under different letterheads?
