Wisconsin's presidential primary isn't until April, but Republicans in La Crosse County are showing their support for their favorite candidates early.

Senator Ted Cruz topped the poll, getting support from 28% of county Republicans. Senator Marco Rubio and Donald Trump tied for second with 24% of the vote. Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Senator Rand Paul and Carly Fiorina also received votes in the poll.
One week from the Iowa caucuses, county chair Bill Feehan says their results are in line with what they're seeing in that state. He says there's a reason Cruz's campaign seems to be gaining momentum.
"Ted Cruz is running an incredible ground campaign," said Feehan. "In fact, his campaign is the only campaign to have contacted me. So when you have a candidate who's out working like that, that makes a difference."

Can we please stop posting these goofy “straw polls” from every podunk county as if they mean anything for ANY candidate.
This state has a primary. It’s not going to be 15 guys down at the general store deciding the vote before they head out for their Shriners meeting.
having lived in La Crosse, there is a little known fact is that at one time there was at least one tavern on every corner in La Crosse, a former strong union town. My guess is somewhere within those remaining tavern walls, after a few pitchers of FREE BEER, are where those
so-called “republicans” were asked to make their selections.
