Ted Cruz Campaign Blindsided by Fox's Gotcha Montage During Debate
Breitbart ^ | 1/29/16 | KEN KLUKOWSKI

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)'s communications director, Rick Tyler, joined Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon Friday on Breitbart News Daily.

They recapped last night's national debate, discussing how Fox News tried to paint Cruz as pro-amnesty, and also highlighted that Cruz is challenging Trump to a one-on-one final debate Saturday night in Iowa, before Monday's caucuses.

Fox News surprised many viewers-and angered many conservatives-by running a campaign-style video going after Cruz on immigration, suggesting that in 2013 both Cruz and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) equally supported amnesty for illegal aliens.

A video of Cruz explaining his views on comprehensive immigration reform. He is all in.

Re: “After Cruz’s Iowa loss...he will be an after thought.”
Cruz is my reluctant first choice, but I think you may be correct about his political prospects.

The two major political betting websites indicate that Cruz will not do well in the GOP primaries.

And in the general election, bettors at Fairbet.com think Cruz is tied with Socialist Bernie Sanders!

I don’t follow the political betting websites. But I can tell you Cruz won’t win Iowa. The Canadian birth issue killed him.

Oh, how surprising. The scum propagandists at FOX tried to take down Cruz. Cruz should have smashed the lecturn over Megan Kelly’s Nazi head. Had he done so, Cruz would be heading into the Iowa caucus as No. 1.

Stop trusting the filthy leftist media to treat you fairly.

The civility has left the place. I gotta admit, if the little sumbish Rubio ever called me a liar in public like he does to Cruz every other sentence he would end up with a broken nose.

Welcome to the jungle teddy.

Now you know what life’s like without Trump clearing the path.

“Then at an after debate interview MK told Cruz that the “record says he is telling the truth”.

BS not what she said. She said the evidence “supports” his claim.
Lawyer speak for “you’re full of it”, but you have plausible deniability.

Not true. She said the record bears him out. She was very clear.

The Canadian birth issue?

That's a surprise to me. I did not expect that to be politically harmful after 8 years of Obama.

Cruz has also failed politically on the immigration issue, which is my number one issue.

He has used his rhetorical skills to stay one step ahead of the immigration hawks since 1999.

Bottom Line - Cruz is a George W. Bush Republican on immigration. If he had begun to walk that back a few years ago, and apologize, and convincingly show voters that his views had changed, I would have supported him with all my heart.

I'll vote for him, but I have no confidence that he will do more than the bare minimum on immigration if he gets elected.

Go listen to it again. She says supports.
And 60 seconds later she’s challenging whether he said he “wanted the bill to pass” he denies it naturally. And he’s wrong.
