I'm not belittling Mr. Trump for raising money for Veteran's Causes, which is a good thing, even if that was his way to duck the debate.

But let's face it. If there is one thing Mr. Trump knows how to do, it is how to promote Donald Trump. He has had plenty of practice.

Sure people get warm fuzzies over this, but that was the intent, that people get warm fuzzies while thinking of "The Donald" doing something nice for veterans' causes.

What he did, though, was avoid some tough questioners and do an end run around electoral business.

Let's not forget that, even while giving credit where credit is due for the fundraiser.

I think you glossed over my point that Donald Trump IMO is a truly caring person. He could have been touting helping that vet at every rally. The only thing he ever said was a two line tweet from one of his staffers letting people know that they had gotten the wounded vet his back pay and his necessary treatment program.

This is just one in a litany of personal acts of kindness and generosity that Trump has done throughout his life and never taken any credit for it. That does speak to character. You may try to say it doesn’t but it does. Its an admirable trait.

I could care less about that debate. Trump took the heat 6 times. He has nothing further to prove. How many times do you need to hear these guys spouting their party line? He found out about the Muslim/illegal immigrant ambush and said no way. I don’t blame him. Enough with the debates. All they are anyway are whack a mole fests for the MSM. they are not even true debates.
