Not only that, my politically conservative Jewish relatives consider the term neocon synonymous with “dirty Jew.” They are either dirty for not stepping in line with the Democrat mantra (when being accused by Dems), or dirty for being too conservative (when being accused by Reps). Cruz's campaign stances seem quite a lot like GWB's for his first campaign. Back then, we thought we were getting a conservative,we got a pro-corporate globalist.
