"When I'm president, I'm a different person," Trump said at an event in Fort Dodge, Iowa. "I can do anything. I can be the most politically correct person that you've ever seen. I can be the most politically correct person in the world and I can be the opposite."

That's very troubling as are some of the other things he's said and then "unsaid" as was pointed out in the piece. However, even more troubling is the fact that most of the commenters on this thread aren't troubled by his flip-flops or that he talks out of both sides of his mouth. Most, in fact, seem to have mastered the art of Trump's tacky tweets and are only able to reply to such pieces by hurling an invectives, questioning the source, dissing those of us who back other candidates and/or insulting Cincinatus' Wife. I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that an inarticulate and mean-spirited candidate would have the same kinds of followers.
I think Trump has told the world pretty much what his approach to the presidency would be -- whatever's expedient for this moment even if it's not expedient in the long haul. Just like others we've rightfully criticized over the years for lacking a set of core beliefs, Trump's of that same mindset except that he's passing as a Republican. Were he elected president, you'd have to wonder ... which Trump will be "ruling" (deliberately used word) today? How about next Thursday? Or the third Tuesday in August? Who could possibly know?
