There is something about the name “Gangway Bar” that screams “stay out of here if you are normal.”
Oh yeah. There was one named the Purple Pickle - I swear I am not making that up. "Yeah, I was having a few beers at the Purple Pickle last night," said no straight man ever.
It was even clearer to me when I was in Pattaya, Thailand. There are all these alleys off the main drag that cater to tourists. I started to go down one alley and I saw bar names like Boys Boys Boys, Boy Toys and The Cockpit. I immediately beat a hasty retreat to the main drag.
