What is trumps position on this?

Trump wants to end it period. He believes all it will take is an act of Congress, not a Constitutional amendment.

Cruz has a strong position on this and Texas — the state he represents has enacted powerful restrictions on this here.

Not a state decision. The state can take various actions in terms of issuing birth certificates, but as long as someone can prove they were born here, they are citizens per US code.

we do not need no stinkin constitutional amendment, we just need to lawfully apply the one we have! Same goes for the 16th Amendment & the IRS!!!

Now if you want to repeal an amendment, it should be the 17th Amendment that infringed on the state legislatures right to select their representatives in Congress.

Its hard to prove you are a citizen when you don’t have a birth certificate.

That is what Cruz’s leadership help produce as an actual action rather than a hypothesis offered on Free Republic by those endlessly fascinated with impugning cruz.
