Did you not actually read what I wrote ... these attempts were NOT to end birthright citizenship, but instead would have embedded it into our laws, that ALL anchor babies would be considered natural born citizens, and ALL babies born abroad to 1 US citizen parent would be considered ‘natural born’ citizens.

This means that Congress DOES know the truth, it is just that they do not like the truth. Neither does Mark Levin, that is in respect to candidates he (under his breath) endorses.

I was referring to the first paragraph. Rep. Steve King Introduces Bill That Would End Birthright Citizenship

The fact that Congress is trying to pass such legislation about conferring NBC is an example of how Congress knows that there is a problem. It is the reason why the Senate commissioned Ted Olson and Laurence Tribe to write an opinion on the eligibility of John McCain to run. The Senate issued a non-binding resolution saying he was. Interestingly, the Tribe/Olson opinion gratuitously mentioned that Obama was eligible because he was born in Hawaii.

The issue of NBC needs to be litigated sooner rather than later. It is not settled law.
