Lament of the Plutocrats (What Hillary said in Goldman speeches)
Politico ^ | 12/11/2013 | Ben White

Posted on 02/06/2016 8:36:30 AM PST by DCdude

On a recent afternoon, executives at Goldman Sachs invited a few hundred major investors to the Conrad Hotel in lower Manhattan. The bankers and their guests filed into a large room and turned their eyes to Hillary Clinton.

But Clinton offered a message that the collected plutocrats found reassuring, according to accounts offered by several attendees, declaring that the banker-bashing so popular within both political parties was unproductive and indeed foolish. Striking a soothing note on the global financial crisis, she told the audience, in effect: We all got into this mess together, and we’re all going to have to work together to get out of it. What the bankers heard her to say was just what they would hope for from a prospective presidential candidate: Beating up the finance industry isn’t going to improve the economy—it needs to stop. And indeed Goldman’s Tim O’Neill, who heads the bank’s asset management business, introduced Clinton by saying how courageous she was for speaking at the bank. (Brave, perhaps, but also well-compensated: Clinton’s minimum fee for paid remarks is $200,000). Certainly, Clinton offered the money men—and, yes, they are mostly men—at Goldman’s HQ a bit of a morale boost. “It was like, ‘Here’s someone who doesn’t want to vilify us but wants to get business back in the game,’” said an attendee. “Like, maybe here’s someone who can lead us out of the wilderness.”

This is why Hillary does not want to release the transcripts of her speeches to Goldman Sachs.

Her comments (for which they paid her over $200,000 a speech) are 180 degrees different from what she is saying today. If she were to release the transcripts, she would be further exposed as the lying, phony she is.

I am actually surprised that someone did not record her remarks on the cell phone. If so, that recording would be worth some serious cash, if not from Bernie Sanders, then from whomever the Republicans nominate.

Doubtful. She probably scolded them to some extent because it costs her nothing to do so. My guess is she will eventually release some transcripts and they will be a big nothing. Then she will point to their release instead of answering the question of what she will do for all the bribe money.

Goldman Sachs is very friendly with the Obama White House. Their executives actually met with him to form his illegal ‘by the pen’ amnesty. Goldman also hires illegal aliens...no not as a janitor, in the same office as Heidi Cruz.

Late on Tuesday, the president met with chief executives from 12 companies on immigration reform and other issues, including Goldman Sachs Group Inc’s Lloyd Blankfein

(In an awkward coincidence, Heidi Nelson Cruz, the senator’s wife, worked in the same Goldman Sachs unit, private wealth management, as Arce.) “Making hundreds of thousands of dollars on Wall Street didn’t protect Arce from fear. “There is still the stigma that what we did is shameful,” she says. “I’m tired of being ashamed for pursuing my dream, for climbing up the ladder, and for having success.”

Per Trump, Hillary is totally in bed with Wall Street and she’s lying in public. He knows them all.

Hillary gives one of her infamous $300,000 university speeches
to a sparsely-attended Georgetown audience. (G/U is Bill/s alma mater).

Hillary Clinton has said some stupid things but this is simply astonishing: "This is what we call smart power," Clinton said to a small audience at Georgetown. "Using every possible tool and partner to advance peace and security. Leaving no one on the sidelines. Showing respect even for one's enemies. Trying to understand, in so far as psychologically possible, empathize with their perspective and point of view. Helping to define the problems, determine the solutions. That is what we believe in the 21st century will change -- change the prospects for peace."

==================================================

When Hillary announced, she named four areas of focus for her campaign:
Number 4 was "Protecting Americans from external threats"

(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)

This as news reports ISIS terrorists are coming over the border, and salted in Syrian refugee hordes Obama is bringing into America. So don't expect candidate Hillary to actually do anything to protect Americans against this threat.

MEMORY LANE Hillary says: We must respect and empathize w/ Islamics (those who behead children)

Sap-happy progressives bought into Hillary/Obama's notion that getting greater cooperation from our allies, and less hostility from our enemies, was just a matter of giving them hugs and kisses. Hillary Clinton arrogantly declared it “smart power” (and fronted Time magazine cover).

If you divide her speakers fee by the number in the audience, it must be like a Super Bowl ticket !

The Mutual Adoration Society.

Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein worships Hillary at a Clinton Foundation event.

======================================

Hillary and Goldman Sachs have been BFF.

Then-US Sen Clinton and then-Sen Corzine on the Capitol steps.

EXHIBIT ONE Corzine was fresh out of Goldman Sachs executive suite, buying his NJ Senate seat office for $65 million; then buying the NJ governorship. Out of office, he ran a hedge fund where $1.5 B went missing....that employed both Bill Clinton and then-Secy of State Hillary's top aide Huma Abedin.

EXHIBIT TWO When Chelsea Clinton's husband started a hedge fund, he gained access to investors who had ties to the Clintons and to Goldman Sachs. Back in 2011, Mezvinsky, now 37, and two former Goldman Sachs/ers —.... Bennett Grau and Mark Mallon....began raising money for Mezvinsky's Eaglevale Partners LP hedge fund.

Some of Mezvinsky's investors included Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein. Wall Street Blankfein, a slavish Democrat supporter, said he had "always been a fan of Hillary Clinton." The WSJ reported extensively on the hedge fund's underperformance since its inception and Mezvinsky's mediocre investing and strategizing.

===========================================

EXHIBIT THREE Then-US Sen Jon Corzine (D-NJ), used his office to pass a special tax exemption for a Japanese bank he owned----his Goldman Sachs crony, Christopher Flowers---adminstrator of Sen Corzine's "blind trust"--- used Corzine's assets to takeover the Japanese bank.

LAUGH BREAK Corzine later said he "did not know" the legislation he sponsored "benefited" him.

================================================

There's a saying in Congress---"One hand washes the other. You vote for my bill; I vote for your bill." Did Hillary vote for Corzine's legislation....giving tax breaks for a Japanese bank Corzine's "blind trust" owned? And what other Wall Street deals did Corzine make w/ Hillary to enrich himself...and her?

"Bernie, I insist you go first."

ROTFLMAO. ///// Bernie Sanders has raised concerns over the $675,000 Hillary pocketed from Goldman Sachs..... an investment bank that has regularly used its influence with government officials to win favorable policies.

THE CLINTONS GO WAY BACK w/ GOLDMAN SACHS--- When Bill Clinton was president, Rahm Emanuel was Bill/s top WH aide AND a lobbyist for Goldman Sachs...at the same time.

YOO HOO BERNIE, THIS IS FOR YOU During one of her $675,000 speeches to Goldman Sachs, Clinton reportedly reassured the G/S crowd......told them that banker-bashing was unproductive and foolish, according to a Politico report based on accounts offered by several attendees.

Look at the top 5 recipients of Wall Street ‘charity’——http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-02-06/what-hillary-told-wall-street-behind-closed-doors——the implication at the end of the article is crap but the graph is telling.

Does anybody here believe what she said in the debate the other night, that she scolded Wall Street executives? She claimed that she warned them that their actions with mortgage securities were going to cause the market to crash, but they didn’t listen to her?

Does anyone really believe that Hillary had this great knowledge ahead of time about the mortgage market, and the coming meltdown, back in 2007 and 2008? Anybody really believe that she was warning Wall Street what would happen??

Goldman Sachs is very friendly with the Obama White House.

Goldman Sachs owns the important politicians and elected officials which means it owns the government and runs the country.

There are far too many connections to list here.

If you have the time just google "Goldman Sachs and White House".

You will be stunned by what you find.

That's working so well in the ME. Oh well. Results are so pre-modern.

Hillary’s slogan of “showing respect even for one’s enemies” does not apply to Republicans in the U.S.
