"On the other hand if Rand himself stands with Cruz, nationwide it would make a favorable difference."

His staff being hired by Cruz will have the obvious results. Remember he endorsed Mitt last time so it'll be interesting to see where he ends up.

Let’s not forget that both Paul and Cruz are under McConnell’s thumb.

Is that why Ted Cruz called Mitch McConnell a liar? Just like you yourself are a low down lying cur?

FWIW, we are begining to see Trump's "govt is good if I'm in control" attitude emerge. If he wins we will not only be stuck with obama's garbage, but he will expand it.

That seems to be the attitude of just about every candidate running: "I am the one who can make government do (it) right". I want to hear more from candidates who believe and act on the philosophy that the problem IS gvernment intrusion into every aspect of our lives.

That is what the founders feared from the very beginning.

So Jeb thought he could grab up enough votes in the proportional states to justify staying in — then the more lib states would give him the coronation.

Priebus planned it so well, he thought. Plan B is to just knock out everyone else while trying to keep Jeb above the fray.

.....”we are beginning to see Trump’s “govt is good if I’m in control” attitude emerge. If he wins we will not only be stuck with obama’s garbage, but he will expand it.”.......

I think he’s been saying that all along.....but having a harder time concealing it now from his ‘voter base’....which won’t make a difference to his ‘fan base’ following and Trump knows that..... However some are certainly waking up and seeing Trump isn’t quite what they imagined.

The Endorsement of former Rand Paul New Hampshire state chair State Sen. Kevin Avard..... He said he was proud to endorse Cruz for president:

“This election is so critical for our nation and it is time we send a principled, conservative leader to the White House. Ted has fought tirelessly to protect our constitutional rights, especially our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. I have watched him stand up to the Washington establishment in the fight against Medicaid expansion and his unyielding leadership to repeal Obamacare and give states and the American people greater control over their health care instead of Obamacare bureaucrats and profiteers in Washington, D.C. He has been a strong defender of property rights and has fought to protect our liberties from government overreach. Because of his proven record in fighting for our men and women in the military, I have the confidence Ted is ready to be the commander in chief we need to restore America’s leadership in the world.”

-— So Jeb thought he could grab up enough votes in the proportional states to justify staying in, then the more lib states would give him the coronation.-—

This would explain his strategy of “losing the primary to win the general.”

He seems like a certain prep-school type.

Setting low expectations Catfish?

No ..... just setting realistic expectations. Check my posting history. I have never said I thought Cruz would finish higher than 3rd in NH.
