Donald Trump's Senior Adviser is a Stock Fraud Felon with a Mob Past [12/05/2105]

WASHINGTON -- Donald Trump knew a man he named as a senior business adviser in 2010 had been convicted in a major Mafia-linked stock fraud scheme, according to Associated Press interviews and a review of court records.

Trump had worked with Felix Sater previously during the man's stint as an executive at Bayrock Group LLC, a real estate development firm that partnered with Trump on numerous projects after renting office space from the Trump Organization. But Sater's past was not widely known at the time because he was working as a government cooperator on mob cases and the judge overseeing Sater's own case kept the proceedings secret. After Sater's criminal history and past ties to organized crime came to light in 2007, Trump distanced himself from Sater.

Less than three years later, however, Trump tapped Sater for a business development role that came with the title of senior adviser to Donald Trump. Sater received Trump Organization business cards and was given an office within the Trump Organization's headquarters, on the same floor as Trump's own.

Well, except for he’s not. It’s hard to pin down his net worth, but it’s probably negative.

Have you donated to Trump? If so, was that a bribe, albeit a small one?

Your comment makes no sense with what was being discussed. Maybe you responded to the wrong post.

I think you intended this post for another poster. Doesn’t square with anything I’ve posted, AFAIK.

I don't care for any of them.

Thanks. And I didn't care to read beyond this.

“”Have you donated to Trump? If so, was that a bribe, albeit a small one?”

Don’t be coy. It’s not cute. I don’t give enough to BRIBE anyone, but you knew that.

Donald Trump is the only Republican NOT using DIRTY money and bribes to get elected.

THAT ought to mean something to all the blind people out there who just jump over the fact their party is corrupt! Trump is the only one telling you the truth. Not Ted Cruz.

Now, if the preference is this corrupt party system of BRIBE $$$ instead of the billionaire who is exposing them, that’s pretty pathetic. Cruz isn’t going to stop it, he’s the poster boy for it. He’s getting email lists from outfits like NRSC, which he used to help run and is now stealing donations from Trump supporters.
see http://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3389769/posts?page=34#34
I got EIGHT $$ solicitations...sticky, gooey religious admonishments from Ted on FOUR different email accounts without ever subscribing to any of it. Trump doesn’t do that...you hear from him when you ask him to contact you.

Trump is trying his best to tell us all what a swamp of $#!t we are floating in and people just keep plugging their noses and swim in circles instead.

I wasn’t being coy. You made the blanket assumption that all donations are bribes. I was challenging your generalization. Don’t try to claim it as fact if you don’t want it challenged.

You are also totally ignoring the large amount of loans Trump currently has and the potential influence conflicts they could bring.

Commericial real estate loans almost always have call provisions. Call provisions typically include “significant changes to the management structure” as legitimate justification for the call. Trump turning over control of the real estate businesses to his kids would easily trigger that type, if the lender chose to exercise it.

And all of this potential influence is completely off the radar of the FEC. Remember, these are the same Wall Street bankers to contend own Cruz.

Mob conections? Maybe this is a good thing. If he can handle “Da Boys” he can handle the Democrats and Putin.

Not sure all of Trunps bs would fit.

In seriousness, I like everything trump says (except abortion, special rights for gays, property seizure, and socialized healthcare).

I get why he is supported.

But I also can recognize a con man, and that is what trump is. He has a lifetime of liberalism and a lifetime of shady deals. It’s very obvious you are being conned.

Reminds me of the Bernie Madoff victims who swear he is not a con man because he is so nice.

So, for you at least, none of Trump’s lifelong relationships with the biggest banks in the world equate to anyone else’s relationships with individual banks? And that, as a result of his ownership of stocks, funds and loans with those banks, he has no personal interest whatsoever in their failure or success? May I assume by extension, that nothing Trump has ever said or done gives you even a moment’s pause?

Excuse me, but Trump is not deeply connected to a company like Goldman Sachs. Being a customer is not the same as having a wife being a Managing Director. If you don’t understand this, I can’t help ya.

Just last month Goldman Sachs was fined 5+ BILLION for fraud. If that don’t ring your bell, nothing will.

You need to wake up and smell the coffee, bud. I run a business worth over $45 million annually and I can tell you unequivocally that having multiple, hundred-plus million dollar loans creates a very unique relationship between people, businesses and banks. Trump’s relationships with big, international investment banks extends way beyond Goldman. And you’re right, there’s a BIG difference between a comparatively small personal loan and a $500 million-plus business loan. If you can’t understand that - to coin your phrase, “I can’t help ya.”

As for the Goldman fine, can you find me an international investment bank that hasn’t been fined hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars? Quick answer: no - and not all mega fines are publicized due to some very creative plea bargaining.

I see, Goldman Sachs was just last month fined 5+ Billion for fraud, but it’s perfectly legitimate because everyone commits wide scale fraud. And you want me to, “Wake up and smell the coffee”? Right.

It’s no secret, GS has the values, morals and ethics of Satan.

But you got the floor. Please provide the evidence of the deep corrupt connections Trump has to Goldman Sachs. Include documents reveling they’re also bank rolling his presidential campaign and show how Trump has family members actually employed by Goldman Sachs.

Take your time.

Evidently so.

I remember a time...not too long ago....when cozying up to GS and Cheap Labor Express donors was frowned upon, around here.

My, how times have (suddenly) changed :(
