Carson next, then Kasich after S.C.

It will be Trump and Cruz left with Jeb battling Rubio to round out the final four.

I suspect she will remain outspoken on Hillary.

They say “suspended” because that is a legal term of art. The campaign isn’t legally over until paperwork accounting for the donations and expenditures is completed. But the candidate is no longer soliciting support or campaigning. The rest of the campaign’s business is winding down the business.

I love how politicians say they are “suspending” their campaigns rather than what it really is: They are quitting the race.

There are legal reasons for that. If they quit the race they can no longer legally raise campaign funds, which they need to do to pay down debts they already ran up.

The average body weight of the R field just dropped substantially, even with Carly dropping out too.

But the median is unchanged!

Carson dropped out the night of the Iowa caucus but because he screamed so loudly when it was reported prematurely, he got stuck. He would have looked like an idiot to explode and then say, “yeah well, I’m quitting”. He won’t go much further but he did see the need to add some more distance from Iowa before he could escape the criticism when he made it official.

That and they want to be at the convention and maybe see if they are asked to be the VP on the ticket.

And Rubio and Bush are longshots at this point.

Allahpundit does not understand the depths to which politics has sunk.

Either Rubio or Bush are a lock.

Republicans must stand for conservative principles that lift people up and recognize all Americans have the right to fulfill their God-given potential.

That is as good a definition of conservatism as I've seen. Conservatism isn't a list of stances on issues. It's an ideal, an attitude to protect our God given rights.

Thank you Carly for putting yourself out there to serve your country

It has something to do with the legalese of terminating the campaign and cleaning up the loose ends. Some campaigns still have donated funds, etc.

Fifi and CC are out. Gilmore still in, he got half as many votes as Vermin Supreme (D) last night.

And so ... the titanic struggle over her delegate begins ... Release the kraken ...

She might have been a more promising candidate if she'd actually gotten elected to the Senate or some other office.

I heard one radio ad for her. Unfortunately, the guy telling us why she was his choice sounded like he was saying, "I'm voting for Crowley, because ..." over and over again.

I thought, "Hey, who is this Crowley guy, and why haven't we heard more about him?" The end of the ad, when we found out who it was for, was a disappointment.

My point is that a candidates’ sex ought not be relevant in the consideration of that person as a candidate. It is not a qualification for office.

Yeah, you’re warning me against Trumpish subterfuge: the source of FR’s downward trend.

Fiorina can always move to New York state where they’re very fond of electing out-of-state carpet baggers to the US Senate.

Even now, I’m not sure what she did to fade so quickly and durably.

Trump creates a meme and it sticks. "Look at that face." Also, "she ruined HP."

I agree. Early on, I thought that if the Dems were stupid enough to nominate HIllary, Fiorina could play a role in attacks on Hillary. Not VP, I don’t think she’s VP material, but on the campaign trail. She could get a cabinet position in return and maybe springboard that to a comfy Senate job that she was wanting. But no, she had to go the Establishment route and go after Donald. Now look at her. Buh bye.
