Like clockwork, whenever anyone at National Review — including the editors — writes in opposition to opening all combat jobs to women or (even worse) drafting women into ground combat, there is predictable hue and cry from the Left. “But Israel! You conservatives couldn’t possibly be criticizing Israel, could you?†Perhaps the worst example comes from New York magazine, where writer Eric Levitz accuses NR of “anti-Jewish propaganda†and painting Israelis as “savagely cruel primitives†because our editors had the audacity to rightly label the proposal to draft mothers and daughters into ground combat “barbaric.â€

Too late. Time for discussion has ended. Women are now permitted in combat roles.
Than they should be drafted into a National Service , of some kind.. Why should women sit out Wars while men pay the ultimate price?

I agree with you. On the other hand, this means that USA cannot adequately perform its duties as the world's cop.
The draft should come with the franchise, you vote,
you can be drafted. Only those who are physically able
should be in the combat arms.

The circumstances that applied to Israel do not apply to the USA.

Israel had to do anything and everything to save itself from the well armed savage muslim Obamabot hordes only a few miles away from its population centers.
Any sane person knows they would much rather keep their mothers and daughters as far away from fighting and violence as we are able to do.
Anyone who can't (or who refuses to) understand that isn't worthy of serious debate, only mockery. Which I have been delivering online and in person for several years now.
Women in deployable MOSs who do not deploy damage moral and are a drag on combat effectiveness. They reduce the billets available for downtime between combat deployments. If women are going to be in those slots they need to be rotated into combat and (not really sorry about pointing this out to anyone offended on this forum) whether they live or die it will be an improvement over the disgraceful situation we have now.
The proper solution is to return to one set of standards.
Just a matter of paperwork - “You’ve been transfered to ... (fill in the non-combat MOS)”
Yep, with women in combat, we would never had pulled off the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
As long as we keep women out of Special Forces, we will still be able to order raids to kill terrorists like Osama Bin Laden in the near future.
It shouldn’t matter, women should NOT be drafted period! And so I am sick and tired of the Zionists trying to push their unbiblical agenda down our throats! An agenda that only destroys further what is left of the biblical family unit!
And if you have a problem with this, take it up with God as He is the author of the military and He gave us His instructions on who makes up that army & how it is to operate.
I think we need legions of women against Islamists so they fear going to hell in the afterlife by dying at their hands.
