It’s a conspiracy by the Euro’s. Many of the weird symbols are the EURO monetary symbol. The funny curved “E” with the two lines through it. Euro conspiracy. ;-)

I try to catch most of the punctuation errors that way when I post. It's a PITA, but it's the only thing that works now. And I've noticed there are sources from where I cut and paste where this doesn't happen. Very strange.

Many of my comments which I tap out on the keyboard have the same gibberish results so I have pretty much quit using apostrophes and quote marks. I had thought it was a new windows improvement but it happens when I am on the linux box, too.
