Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has fallen behind Ted Cruz in the national GOP horserace, according to a brand-new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

In the poll, Cruz is the first choice of 28 percent of Republican primary voters, while Trump gets 26 percent. They're followed by Marco Rubio at 17 percent, John Kasich at 11 percent, Ben Carson at 10 percent and Jeb Bush at 4 percent.

Yeah, he’s in through the SEC. His showing in SC is crucial though.

Bottom line is, if this poll is accurate at all we’ll be looking at Hillary and Rubio.

Yes a lawsuit could be frivolous in lawyer speak. You know, like “it depends on what the meaning of “is” is. However, when Cruz supporters think it okay to misrepresent another candidates views as long as it is legal then we definitely have another “slick Willy” on our hands.

I’ll believe it when other reliable polls come to the same conclusion. At the moment...this looks like a “Hail Mary” pass by NBC & the WSJ who will do anything to bring Trump down, this coming Saturday in South Carolina!!!

The WSJ are shills for the Open Borders Syndicate.

I don’t think they bother with much of anything else.

Oh yeah, they LOVE the Big Brother State.

Nope. Chap 11 then He LEFT!

Not correct.

The banks did require Trump be diminished in some instances and removed in others. Either way, there was an agreement in place between the parties.

Should I have a problem that Trump, in a limited capacity, used the bankruptcy courts to save jobs?

Nope. Again, having worked through the housing crash my opinion of banks is to the point of 'screw them'. Awful people.

There’s still 5 of them...and Trump’s numbers rarely go over 40% and are generally in the mid-30s where they’ve been for months.. He gets none of their share. The other candidates, with the possible exception of Bush are at least somewhat conservative. Their supporters for the most part will not flock to a Rockefeller liberal Republican.

Did you see the head-to-head matchups with Cruz and Rubio? They both slaughter Trump...by 16 points!

Trump has to pray that both Cruz and Rubio stay in for a long time. As soon as one drops, he’s toast. I don’t know a single supporter of either person who would move to Trump. Not a chance.

Hank

Are you really that naive to think that Trump isn’t going to get any part of the voters for candidates that are dropping out?

Nah, the polls are not all that whacky in South Carolina. That’s TRUMP country, to the man and by the attitude.

Nevada might be a mystery pie, but not South Carolina.

I’m thinking TRUMP “SWEEP”.

I know, I know... the WSJ poll. Have fun with it for a day or three.

Cruz is a dead end.

Did you like their poll last month when Trump was up by 13%?

Can anyone versed in stats explain to me why the “registered” voter number has a lower margin of error than the “primary” voter number? Just because the second sample is smaller?

Another possible explanation for Trump's decline in the new NBC/WSJ poll is an increase in "very conservative" Republican voters from January's sample.

If the current poll is re-weighted to reflect the ideological composition from last month, the GOP horserace numbers are: Trump 26 percent, Cruz 25 percent, Rubio 18 percent and Kasich 13 percent — so Trump is ahead by one point, but still down from January.

Polls with special sauce. They actually admitted it.

I’ll tell ya folks....if you don’t make Donald J. Trump our POTUS.....you will have let yourself be hoodwinked once again, only this time the hoodwink will be the death knell for this great American Republic!!! Me.....I am to far along in life, for it to affect me!!! I have had a super ride for a kid from very humble and meager beginnings!!! It’s my children and grandchildren that make me worry. Cruz, Bush, Rubio, Kasich, Clinton, Sanders, Biden, etc....the establishment will destroy your country and lives, if you pass up this God given chance to set things right, once again!!! You are wasting your valuable votes on these pawns in the destruction of the American Republic!!! Have fun!!!

Go DONALD J. TRUMP!!!

But, but Cruz was born in Canada. And that great constitutional lawyer El Trumpo says Cruz is not a natural born citizen, and is going to sue on of these fine days. Do Trumpo says so, so it must be so.

Good question, maybe ask the WSJ? My guess is that it is just another way of saying “likely voter.”
