Trump’s rhetoric on enforcing the law (see: rendering unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s) strikes me as completely Christian. Charity is an individual virtue, exercised within the bounds of the law, and there is no virtue in generosity with other people’s money or country, or in rewarding the criminal behavior of illegals who broke the law to come here.
Limbaugh commented on this today. He wondered why the pope has not questioned the Castro brother’s Christianity or why he has not questioned the communist dictators whom he has visited and responsible for the deaths of millions of people.
Why is he picking on Trump?
I love it thought. Trump has elevated himself on the international stage where he is fighting the good fight.
At the same time the pope has also said it is ok for catholic priests to perform same sex marriage ceremonies without fear from the church. Wonderful!
