Well, just about anyone would be better than Obama if he loves America and freedom. In fact, just about anyone chosen at random from any phone book anywhere in the USA would be great compared to Obama! As long as he loves America and loves freedom. That’s the first requirement.
Obama/Hillary/Sanders all love some other place and some other form of government.

But Obama is not running in the Republican primary. Cruz and others are, and I don’t see where Trump measures up against Cruz.
