Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday challenged the premise of Donald Trump's promise to "make America great again," and asked if Trump knows how America ever became great in his closing pitch to South Carolinians.
Speaking in Myrtle Beach, Cruz launched into an extended diatribe about what he perceived as Trump's lackluster position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He followed it up with a list of Cruz's campaign promises and a stinging rebuke of Trump's singular message.
"We will see the economy explode, small businesses grow, young people coming out of school with three, four, five job opportunities. Wages going up. You know what? We're going to be winning so much we'll get tired of winning," Cruz said, mimicking Trump's message. "It's easy to say let's Make America Great Again, you can even print that on a baseball cap. The question to ask is, do you understand what made America great in the first place?"

And, he’s ready with the next campaign dirty tricks to back up every word.

Yeah, when I think about what made America great in the first place, the first thing I think of is a Canadian making an impassioned speech about Israel.
I fully support Israel, but Ted is making no sense here. It seems like flailing to me.
America wasn’t made great by any Senator, Representative, or President.
When those get out of the way, it is the entrepreneurs that made America great.
Politicians never created jobs or a booming economy.
Yeah, Trump knows how better than any one running.
Trump put out his plans very well including a tax structure that makes Cruz’s VAT tax look like the crap it is. All I see there is a cloak room crowd, a Cruz sound bite and one of the BS polls. Truly another ‘water to whine’ moment from the irreligious, religious one.
Trump never does anything that does not at first make him look good.

I am still waiting for him and Rubio to get rid of ObamaCare as they promised. We gave them everything they claimed they needed in the last election, yet, nothing.
Is there even one real life story of Cruz helping someone other than for money and political advancement?
Trump has helped tons of people - even Cruz shill Hannity says three are lots of secret stories around Ny of Trumps good deeds.
Trump is a better man than Cruz. And a better leader. This slimy crap that Cruz is peddling will soon be in a clearance bin.
Now look at Donald Trump’s slogan: “Make America Great Again”. Alexis de Tocqueville said: “America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.” Donald Trump knows that in a country overrun with Philistines one can not campaign on “Make America Good Again”. However, if you look at what he says he will do, how offended he is by people lying about him, how offended he is with dirty tricks, how he hates the corruption in American government, etc. you know that he is trying to do is make America good again. So Donald Trump is bringing people out of the shadows, so to speak, and giving them hope that things can be better. This puts them out in the world where the Holy Spirit can bring believers into contact with those who are to be saved. So that is the spiritual aspect of the Trump campaign.
Yup. The Trump campaign reminds me of Tony Robbins, the guy who was only successful at making success videos.
