I was not aware that the president could just gift the land back to the states by decree. Is that how it works?
Of course! Ted Cruz “knows the Constitution”, and he’s a lawyer. So by sheer force of will, he will know of a way to give the land back to the states with one fell swoop of a pen via executive fiat, regardless of whether the state wants it or not, in some cases! Don’t you see how this makes Trump a big government liberal!?!?

And running on this as broadly as Cruz is, will just give the Dems the ammo they need to say Cruz wants to sell Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore to the highest bidder.
And besides few states are chomping at the bit to have to devote their tight budgets to manage parks that they CANNOT sell least they want the public on their case.
This will make Cruz look like a nut because he doesn’t know how to frame the issue to his advantage.
