“Wow. Have you honestly convinced yourself THAT’S why Trump won Nevada?”

Yes, as convinced as Trump is when Cruz won Iowa because Cruz repeated what Carson told the media.

At least Cruz was going by a media report, Trump just flat out lied, no media was reporting Cruz left.

Sounds desperate, and will look and obviously BE desperate if he does it. And why would Ben Shapiro give a hoot about Bible totin’ Ted’s success or failure. This smells more like a GOPe plot. An attempt to take out both Cruz AND Trump. Cruz blows up and spills his guts, thereby hurting Trump enough that a slug of his supporters drop him.

But Cruz also makes such an ass of himself while doing it, that many of his own supporters drop HIM. And the GOPe’s hopes are that after both Trump AND Cruz are critically wounded, the supporters who abandoned both of them would then flock to Rubio.

How I think it really WOULD work out is that Trump’s supporters would merely grasp onto him even tighter, and Cruz, who’s already on shaky ground, loses enough support as a result of such a heathen outburst, that his campaign goes completely into the toilet.

In either case, Rubio, not Cruz, is the beneficiary of it.

Agree. This is absolutely idiotic and would backfire on Cruz.

I really don’t think there is anything Cruz could do to win, at this point. However, to make a great showing at the debate, and to stop his followers from leaving him, your idea is best: he should come up with genius points against Obama and the Clintons. He should NOT sling mud at Trump and Rubio. He should show some greatness. At the very least, he could then end his campaign with class and have us all remember him as a genius conservative. He can run again.

I don't think Cruz can out Trump Trump.

It looks like God may take this calling away from Cruz and so he should boldly own the "pastor" insult and send a message to America about how God has blessed us greatly and how we should repent of our national sins before it's too late. Who remembers the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah? He could close it out by offering to lead us not as "might makes right benefactor", "nation builder", "invincible winner" or a "good intentions road paver" but as a humble Penitent in Chief reducing the state to its Constitutional duties alone.

Be the first person in America to ignore Trump and publicly and unabashedly acknowledge God.

He could even say a prayer for Trump right there in front of God and the world and then shake the dust from his feet.

Proverbs 3:6
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Heh hehe, I almost wrote to him too. My best friend works with raptors and got bit in the face — lots of stitches and pretty painful. Trump was right to duck!

You bet! These are not play pretties - these are seriously dangerous birds. He gets a lot of credit for posing with them - in his office, of all places.

(I wonder if he knew he could have had his face torn off???)

“At least Cruz was going by a media report, Trump just flat out lied, no media was reporting Cruz left.”

Do you think it’s possible that someone told Trump something like “the other candidates aren’t staying here tonight,” and Trump understood that to mean they intended to leave after their speeches? After all, in his speech, Cruz himself mentioned he was going home and looking forward to spending the first night in a month in his own bed.

Yeah, THERE’S a winning strategy for Teddy - go even MORE Bible-thumper and see where that gets him.

You live in cloud cuckoo-land, seriously, if you think the joking Trump (who didn’t mention anything about your beloved candidate) effected the voting. I thought you’d be more honest than that. 2 Hail Marys for that little bit of disinformation!

You misunderstand. Just because I say Trump has a narrow path (which I explain why) doesn't mean Rubio or Cruz have wide path. If fact the only hope for those two is a meeting in the tee-pee, smoke a peace pipe and consolidate around one person (hardly likely). Again Trump's risk is that winner take all states are only 16% of the delegates which could be sufficient using a plurality strategy (narrow path) if he wins all the winner take all states. But two of those states are Florida and Ohio and partially Texas. If he loses those states, it could be a brokered convention.

Sorry. I’m not in church. I’m on a political discussion board. You don’t seem to be able to tell the difference.

I don’t know, I early voted in Montgomery County Texas, one of the most conservative counties in the country. Granted, this is Texas, but I never heard Trump’s name come up.

This is great to feed one’s anger and panic over Trump - like the desperate author of this article.

Instead Cruz should try and recover his damaged image of appearing slimy (with the Carson thing and other lies) and come across as presidential - smarter and more gracious than anyone in the room. He’s won’t out bully Trump. He’ll hurt his image even worse. And Trump voters seem pretty loyal.

Only if Trump attacks him, should he attack Trump. And they should all foil the uniparty moderators’ attempt to make them look like raging kooks by refusing to take the bait to attack each other. Use the opportunity to say what they want to say to voters. They don’t HAVE to respond to the moderators stupid attack questions.
