Isn’t his claim here about Trump a bit misleading?
First of all, Trump has said from day one all illegals must go and as I recall Ted when asked would not say those words, only that we must uphold the laws of the land. So not as direct as Trump at the beginning. Now Cruz is actually saying it.
Second of all, in the same sentence, Cruz says he will deport all illegals, but Trump will allow citizenship. Isn’t that a misleading statement meant to fool at least some into thinking that although Cruz will deport them, Trump will instead give them citizenship? So misleading. Everyone knows Trump has said he would allow those deportees back in if they come in LEGALLY.
Third, what is Cruz saying about the deportees because I don’t recall him saying what he would do once they were gone. So what is Cruz saying, that none will be able to come back legally ever?
The further things go with Cruz, the slimier he seems to get.
“The further things go with Cruz, the slimier he seems to get.”
Now we get to the heart of the problem.
That's wrong. Trump made no mention that all illegals must go until the end of July. And then he said he would expedite the good ones back.
Once again Trumpsters follow their leader in accusing anyone who exposes his record of “lying.” You people need a wake-up call to realize you’re being sucked in by “art of the deal” showmanship when Trump’s actual, binding words say the opposite of what you think they do.

But his supporters tend to overlook his other promise-repeated in the Fox Business debate in Milwaukee on November 10âthat under his immigration plan “they will come back.”
Trump explained his plan this way:
I would get people out and then have an expedited way of getting them back into the country so they can be legal.... A lot of these people are helping us ... and sometimes it’s jobs a citizen of the United States doesn’t want to do. I want to move ‘em out, and weâre going to move ‘em back in and let them be legal.
Trump’s son Eric expressed frustration that the media overlooks this:
The point isn’t just deporting them, it’s deporting them and letting them back in legally. He’s been so clear about that and I know the liberal media wants to misconstrue it, but itâs deporting them and letting them back legally.
