Campaigns are about conflict. It is absolutely necessary not only to show why you are better but the other candidate is worse. Say what you will about Donald Trump, but he understands that to win a fight, you have to fight. Now the race is at a stage where it is clear to beat Trump, a candidate must engage Trump and drive him from the race. ....

The good news should be that Trump is one of the easiest candidates to engage and defeat in modern history. But no one is taking advantage of his vulnerabilities. To defeat a candidate, you must go at the rationale of their candidacy: don’t shoot down the airplanes, blow up the aircraft carrier. Romney attacked Perry on his strength: jobs. That’s what it takes. A campaign that beats Trump will have to prove that the core of his message and the messenger both are fakes. Here’s how.

Trump asserts he is a business success and “built a great company.” Don’t let him get away with this assertion and define himself.

Trump has a long history of failures in business. If he had taken his inheritance and put it in an index stock fund, he would be far richer. Taxpayers have bailed out his failures time and again. And as long as he refuses to release a tax return, odds are that he is hiding some dark financial secret. Challenge him on his success. The facts are on your side and it will drive him crazy. ...

It’s a myth that Donald Trump is a candidate with some special powers that make him invulnerable. He’s an undisciplined candidate who is intellectually lazy and emotionally vulnerable. Use those qualities to beat him. Or let him continue to win. That’s the simple choice.

Trump can be beaten. But he won't be because his rivals will go after each other instead of after him. From hiding his taxes, to his business failures, to uncouth manners and lack of intellectual reasoning, there are lots of vulnerabilities in the New York mogul. But no one seems interested in taking him on. And at this late hour, even hard-charging attacks may well be too little, too late because no one is prepared to take him on and people are flustered in Trump's presence. What it all means is the Trump haters have got their work cut out for them trying to drive him out of the race - good luck with it.

I noticed that Rubio changed direction completely in last nights debate.

Instead of ganging up with Trump to attack Cruz, which Trump tried to get him to do early on in it, Rubio went after Trump all night , for the first time. Both Cruz and Rubio against Trump.

I think it might be that the next primary is in Texas and so Rubio is going after the number 2 position, assuming that Cruz will be number 1.

Ronald Reagan had only won ONE of the first 4 Primaries,

and George Herbert Walker Bush had won THREE out of the first 4 Primaries.

Cruz is ahead in only 1 poll, tied in two others, and losing in the fourth one. Yes, these are the most recent ones.

If someone get 50% of the vote ( Ted is NOT getting that in an y poll and won't reach that percentage ), that candidate gets all of the delegates. Otherwise it is proportional, IF one gets 20% or more. Rubio doesn't reach 20% in any poll. Which means that Trump will STILL have the most delegates in the race. Trump SHALL win Florida, BIG TIME; he's also get the majority of the SEC primaries.

the bottom line is that Trump IS going to win the nomination.

Appearing on Bloomberg News the former Mississippi architect, Stuart Stevens, and Mississippi financier/bag-man, Henry Barbour, who carried out the Mississippi Strategy , openly admit their intent to use the same level of vitriol to remove Donald Trump.

If Donald Trump can flood the airwaves with his nonsense, his opponents can counter it incessantly. And while they are at it, they can tie him up in court, just as he's trying to do to Cruz. There are a good number of "just asking" questions ready to be put to them, among them "Trump's mother was Scottish, can he really be president?" and "Trump ran a host of scams designed to rip off the poor; surely one of them would like to sue him?"

Thus far, part of Trump's media strategy has been to say something outrageous and then to move on before it can be rebutted or fact-checked. Why are his rivals not doing the same thing to him? Why, moreover, are the men in charge of the big guns all but flirting with the snipers on the other side? (read more)

On Wednesday's "Your World" on FOX News, former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney told Neil Cavuto that Donald Trump's tax returns may prove he hasn't been honest about his money.

Romney suggests the bombshell could include him lying about his wealth or that he has not made all those charity donations he claims to have made.

You see, it doesn't actually matter if there's any truth to the claim, the goal is to create an absurd hurricane wind of inbound attacks driven with increasing ferocity by the corporate media who will demand the candidate to respond.

In Mississippi 2014 Chris McDaniel was not racist, nor was there anything remotely linking him to anything racist; the goal is to push the candidate away from their campaigning, the truth is irrelevant.

Once the GOPe force the candidate away from campaigning, then they begin selling the false story and using the actors/actresses, or preachers, to deliver an outcome.

By the time the next debate on Fox comes around, well, it'll be peak DEFCON-5 thermonuclear political button pushing because, quite simply, they have nothing to lose.
