Liberal voters need to be careful of blaming everything on genetics - because we’re already seeing 95% abortion rates for Down Syndrome and rising rates for other conditions. Blame everything on biology, and mandatory eugenics easily comes roaring back.
Blaming everything on upbringing and culture negates the fact that black illegitimacy rates were lower and graduation rates higher in the 1940s with real institutional discrimination than they are today. Thomas Sowell has brought this up repeatedly, as well as the chaos in the black community today you didn’t see in the 1950s - because they had fathers to whip the kids back into line. No one had gang shootings around schools as a regular occurrence during Jim Crow - so you can’t blame the violence in the black community on the culture they inherited post-slavery.
But if you blame it all on culture, the only solution is shutting down “black culture”, which is obviously a total failure - so no ghettos, and either mass re-education or adopting kids out.
Or the black subculture can admit the destruction of the nuclear family chasing after welfare dollars and wallowing in blame whitie are entirely their own fault and clean up their own mess.
The solution can start with whipping the black kids who attack their peers for “acting white” by getting good grades, attack whites for being white and assault their teachers.
As harsh as it was Jim Crow worked because there was no doubt where everybody stood. There was little or no doubt as to the consequences for violent behavior. I saw the methods of control in action. There was no doubt as to who was in control. Today, whites have abdicated governance and all the Third World types are jockeying for power. There is no effective governance hence control and the so called leaders give mouthing to platitudes then avidly seek money, perks and reelection. The Eugenics movement attracted few adherents in the United States.
