Why is this in the sidebar as if it is new news? This is from last year. He’s already explained what was going on then, and come out on the Senate floor saying McConnell lied to him about what was actually going to be done. He tried the “dealing” route that Trump says will win the day - but it doesn’t work when you have lying back-stabbers. So he fought them by saying on the Senate floor that they are lying back-stabbers, and for that has won the title of the man so arrogant that everybody hates him.
No way he could win. Not. One. Stinkin’. Way. Because he wasn’t outside the system flinging poo at those inside. He was inside the system trying to clean it up and being hated for it.
And he’s still being hated for it, by those who claim to also want to clean up the poo.

It’s news because Cruz said he preferred Obamatrade supporter Rubio to Obamatrade opponent Trump. Yet Cruz is on record now opposing Obamatrade. Curious. Very Curious. Something doesn’t add up here.
I think no matter what is ‘revealed’ there are some that are in the spirit of slumber. Trump is the ‘devil’ and nothing is going to change cement minds.

Fact is Ted Cruz has saved exactly as many babies as Donald Trump. ZERO babies.
Maybe he favors Rubio IN SPITE OF Rubio’s support of Obamatrade - for other reasons that he considers important. Like maybe he realizes that McConnell lied to Rubio also, so Rubio’s genuine stance isn’t what it appeared to be on the surface.
I think it’s reasonable to ask how it is possible that we have Congress-critters that most people in their state - even in conservative states - say they would vote for again even though they despise Congress as a whole. And reasonable to ask why, when R’s hold both houses of Congress, Congress is STILL giving Obama everything he wants, AGAINST the interests of Congress-critters who have to face their constituents. And I think Cruz hit the nail on the head: THE LEADERSHIP IS CROOKED. There may be a bunch of Congressmen who want to do what is right but they are lied to, manipulated, chewed and spit out by the R leadership. That would explain why SO FEW of the critters that we respect do the right thing. Ever. The leadership lies to them to get them to vote the wrong way, and if anybody bucks them, they strip them of committee membership and back-stab come election time. Those who don’t like Cruz, or Rubio, or whoever can say it is just a character flaw in that particular guy, but I think we have to ignore the whole picture to say it’s just something bad with those guys. It seems to me it is a SYSTEMIC problem, and Cruz is the one guy who has called it for what it is.
His bringing that up doesn’t just serve himself. It serves everybody who has been lied to and manipulated. And Rubio could well be one of those people too.
