Washington state gasoline taxes are are the 4th highest in the US.
Gas prices are about 40 cents above the national average.
Yet people are still driving and buying gasoline.
Fail.

It is being pushed in the name of the planet, but really an offset to the gas tax undermined by fewer people driving, more electric cars and fewer miles driven per person.
