So, it’s been about 15 years, but is fark still a geeky equivalent of the Onion?

Yes. Fark founder Drew Curtis had a Suckerberg-sized delusion and ran for Ky Gov; and promptly got curb-stomped by Matt Bevin.

In GA, any voter can ask for any primary ballot. If a registered Democrat checked of the Republican box on the ballot request form, they got a Republican ballot.

Insofar as someone could get the wrong ballot, they have these things called “poll workers” who can assist with correcting anything the voter notices. It’s not like the voter wouldn’t notice having the wrong ballot (electronic at that), nor couldn’t do anything about it.

Exactly.

The first step is the confirmed voter SELF-selects the Georgia party ballot they want.

User error, and easily corrected.

Besides it was REALLY obvious which ballot was which in GA

They knew there was something odd going on when the ballots had words instead of pictures on them.

As far as the state election apparatus is concerned, there is no such thing as a “registered democrat” in GA, same for republicans and independents.

I say BS on this article.

“Some of the poll workers are a bit daft”

Then please “volunteer” your time. Doing 15 hours and dealing with a LOT of “daft” voters is an act of patriotism for 14 hours plus!

LOL I worked the polls and I would have to say that you are right. I had several people ask me which party Hillary or Bernie was in before they requested their ballots. There SHOUL be some intelligence test given before they are allowed to vote

Me, too. And one of the reasons is that the poll manager, a democrat, does her level best to be a good manager. Point in case—A voter was complaining about Ted Cruz campaign signs and she set him straight about the distance limit from the polls and that the signs were perfectly acceptable.

Nothing fishy in Georgia

Posted on front door of my polling location was a copy of both Republican and Democrat ballot

On the top of the signature card there was a check box for Republican Democrat or Independent. The layout did not make it easy to accidentally check wrong box. Still there are people who would make that mistake.

It is quite possible the poll worker handed out wrong key card by mistake. It happens.

When key card placed in machine it is obvious what party the ballot represents. The candidate choices also hold a clue.

My point is there are lots of places along the way to correct a mistake-if I was handed the wrong ballot I would take it to the poll worker to get the correct one which gives them a chance to correct a mistake if they had their card piles mixed up.

The Democrats’ desperation to get everyone to the polls is an unedifying spectacle but when your base are elderly, indigent, ignorant and work-shy it’s always going to be a challenge.

The difficulty, as usual, is that the media pretends the Dems’ problems are everyone’s problems and that the world must stop on Election Day and all wheeled transport mist be devoted to ferrying the Effie Harringtons, aged 87, of the world those 9 long city blocks to the polls so she may renew her subscription to her Ponzi scheme payout. After all, she contributed $3,000 working part time 30 years ago and it’s only proper that she collect $900,000 for doing naff all thereafter. But then, Dems have always been ‘for the workin’ man,’ right?

Forget Voter ID...at this point the Dems are close to suggesting that ballots should be hand delivered on silver platters to their voter base as they lay in bed. And if they happen to get confused or mark it incorrectly the poll workers will be happy to revise it.

Have you noticed that lefties want CCTV, registration, licensing, of everyone and everything they dislike but when it comes to independent verification of votes cast they suddenly become the world’s most strident libertarians?

People can’t check the correct box on that little form?
