I’ve listened to Chomsky quite a bit.
He’s intellectually honest, but his view of the world is much different than mine.
Small differences in first principles can result in large variations in development.
Garbage in, garbage out.
The problem with leftists is that when they see “garbage out” with their own eyes, they start redefining “garbage” as “order, justice, and virtue.”
It may not actually be dishonesty when they do this. It can just be a radical difference in perspective.
This is one of the flaws - or perhaps paradoxes - in free, pluralistic and open societies.

That's pretty much the same impression I get in listening to Chomsky. He interprets the same facts from a totally different perspective.
In this video Chomsky talks about how the establishment always thinks that the “stupid and ignorant masses” can’t be trusted to make the right decision. Obviously that is directly applicable to this election.
