Cruz has the sociopolitical doctrines down right, but doesn’t have the “get it done” credentials Trump has.
Trump is rough, crude & imperfect, but he knows how to get $#!^ done on a multi-billion-dollar scale and despite fierce opposition.
Yeah, Trump is an a$$hole. Some of ‘em know how to get stuff done, and if we don’t get federal spending fixed and some key dictators beaten back into their holes, doctrine isn’t going to matter.
And yes, it’s possible to support both Trump _and_ Cruz. I voted Cruz, and seem to spend a lot of time defending Trump.
Simply put: if we don’t get government spending below revenue soon, we’re gonna have a civil war. Cruz will make a laudable attempt; Trump can make it happen.
Wonderful statement of what I also believe! Trump will get the job done -- because he's proven he can do it throughout his career. We need a CEO, not a politician. POTUS is an executive post, not a legislative post. I analyzed the elements of Trump's action-oriented approach in a FR column in January entitled From Art of the Deal to Art of the Campaign. |
