Ted Cruz Won the Debate … at CPAC
Slate ^ | March 4, 2016 | Jim Newell

“I want to get to the elephant in the room, and I’m not talking about the Republican Party,” Sean Hannity told a slightly rowdy, tipsy crowd at the CPAC pre-debate party on Thursday night.

The Fox News host had warmed up the audience with his usual mixture of throwing foam footballs into the crowd...And now it was time to get to what truly was the “elephant in the room” on the first day of the Conservative Political Action Conference: the extraordinary race for the Republican presidential primary.

The word Trump was uttered maybe two or three times throughout the opening day of the annual conservative conference, as though the ongoing presidential race was merely a fictional subplot on a TBS political drama.

“How many of you here support Ted Cruz?” Hannity asked. Loud cheers erupted from the conservative crowd.

“How many of you here support Donald Trump?” An extraordinary wave of boos arose.

“How many of you like Marco Rubio?” Mostly cheers, some boos mixed in.

“How many of you in this room want John Kasich to win?” A prevailing sense of indifference, tilting toward boos.

“I would say, in this order: Cruz, Trump, Rubio, Kasich, right?” The wrongness of that brought itself some boos, but Hannity moved on.

Sean Hannity is a Trump … what’s the word here ... shill. Near the end of Hannity’s warmup spiel—after he said he wished Mitt Romney were “as strong against Barack Hussein Obama as he was today” against Trump—he asked the crowd to stand up and pledge to support the Republican nominee for president, even if it’s Trump. Most of the crowd did. But they sure didn’t like the guy at all once the debate began......

CPAC gave Cruz the first standing ovation of the night. Here, he was the winner of the debate by a landslide...

Cool. Somehow they refuse to vote for him though. He loses the Evangelicals and the Conservatives. But he wins a hand raise....good for him....I hope he has it on video so he can revisit it when he is 90 and thinking of the good old days when he lost the nomination but had a nice moment.

“Sean Hannity is a Trump … what’s the word here ... shill”

Sean has certainly not been a Trump shill well at least not until yesterday. Sean had been pushing Rubio up until his marching orders were changed. It looks like they may have now dumped Rubio. But Sean was in on that up until yesterday... now he his doing what he can to salvage his reputation. Geraldo was playing the Trump shill. Geraldo is now going after Trump for the fake KKK thing. Sean and Geraldo have now switched places. This is more like professional wrestling than traditional politics.

As Trump finds out what we want, maybe legal things, things like legal H-1B visas are OK.

Re-defining “conservativism” while hyper-conservative Ted Cruz receives the approval of the Conservative Political Action Committee.

Since the vote by the evangelists have been brought up. Here is the real reason they went for him.

CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVES
DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY MEDIA MACHINATIONS
Some fundamentalists have a thing against Catholics particularly this open borders Pope. That story the MSM conjured up about the pope singling out Trump being a non christian may have turned this for Trump in South Carolina .

But the pope was responding to a loaded question by a reporter from Reuters news agency and actually did not believe his accusations. So the pope never mentioned Trumps name in his lengthy reply. Which btw was uncovered by Rush Limbaugh Friday a day before the election show; It was this; expressed here in abstract;

In his reply the pope used the term One, to generalize his example and began with; If actually one said and Pope Francis continued with : One does, one did, one believes : such and such in his response to a rather lenghty loaded question by a so called reporter.. it was meant to be a generalized position applied to anyone who has those views when answering the questions that were presented to him .

But the reporter turned this statement : Those that only focus on building walls and not bridges are not Christian. into: Those who build walls not btidges like Trump are not Christian.

it was meant to be a generalized position applied to anyone who has those views. But was twisted by the media into a personal attack by the pope which was intended to be and was used as left handed Trump endorsement. Which ignored the negotionable position Trump has taken about amnesty and silence about any border barrier funding discussion going on during the GWB admistration where the democrats killed the funding.

Trump responded to what he thought was a direct personal attack by the Pope which was shared and agreed to by everybody including maany Catholics and what they were responding is to Trump in effect telling the pope to go to hell which made the difference. If they voted that way because of that reason They were mislead by machinations of the media not the pope.

Now the medias anti religious agenda is busy claiming Cruz wont win by emphasizing Christian values in: marriage, planned parenthood, abortion and the questioning of wandering positions on these subjects taken by Trump. Which diverts the attention from the media and its involvement while minimizing the Cruz candidacy.

Urge Ted to stay the course and defeat this conspiracy to elect the blowhard . We want back to the days of the constitution and the government out of our bedrooms, kitchens, gas tanks, back yards, as well as our religions. And pick justices who will keep it that way .

During an interview for Face the Nation, host John Dickerson asked Republican presidential candidate, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) if he would consider accepting the vacant spot on the Supreme Court after the sudden death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. This comes after Republican presidential candidates and Republican members of the senate have vowed not to approve anyone President Obama nominates during his last year in office.

That is not a job I’m interested in. Cruz said and added, The job I’m interested in is appointing 3, 4, 5 Supreme Court justices, defending the constitution. The Texas senator vowed that as president he would reverse the damages done by Barack Obama and that he would be “faithful and vigorous defending the constitution.”

TED CRUZ IS THE ONE WE NEED FOR BRINGING US TOGETHER AS ONE and the end of the use of using government policy creating hyphenations like afro-American,and-hispanic-American a race baiting policy designed to divide people

into ONE FLAG.... ONE LANGUAGE .ONE PEOPLE ......AMERICANS

Eating boogers live on tv does not win friends or influence people.

Furthermore, you are 100% dellusional if you think Ted Cruz is going to win States like New York, Florida, Michigan, or California over Trump.

Cruz’s strongest place of support is the South. Trump beat Cruz in South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Arkanas

Cruz won his home state. That should be an automatic, and NOTHING to brag about.

Yes Cruz also won Iowa, Oklahoma and Alaska. Where in each State it wasVERY close in the Delegate count between Cruz and Trump.

I’m sorry but I think you are living in fantasy land if you think Cruz is going to win.

If Cruz is polling 10% in Florida now, what does that say for him as a potential nominee? Florida is a must win state for Republicans.

Well the GOPe have a new strategy. They now want everyone back in to try and keep Trump from getting the magic number of delegates. The only problem is that we have quite a few winner takes all states coming up that Trump is likely to get. Once we get past Florida I expect that the cracks in the GOPe will open up and they will start caving to Trump. Trump is doing his part already by acting more “presidential”.
