DADE CITY - Dozens of undocumented farm workers in Pasco County were kicked out of their government-subsidized homes this week following an audit by the Pasco County Housing Authority.
The workers were involved in the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development program, which is run through the Housing Authority and provides affordable, subsidized rents to low-income families.
The Housing Authority began auditing the Cypress Farms tenants in December. That included some assistance from the Department of Homeland Security, which notified the agency one of the workers was using a fraudulent Social Security card; the Social Security number was also being used by several other people in the U.S.
This led to an accelerated audit, which resulted in the agency identifying 30 people who needed to vacate, including 24 residents who, according to the Housing Authority's attorney, were using fake documentation. Officials said many of them also lied about their immigration status.

They come here knowing significantly more about how to take advantage of entitlement programs than our own disadvantaged citizens.
There are entire networks here that collude with them to get them on entitlements and how to fake being a citizen. The biggest flaw in the system this government his is “if you get qualified for one program, that is enough to qualify you for several others”. One stop fraud is what it is.
It would be curious to know who stood up and asked the question. If you applied this logic across the US....how many apartments would suddenly become open?
Evicted from subsided housing, with a get out of jail feee card. If a citizen scammed the Government for free housing they would have been prosecuted. As a citizen I get parking tickets for scamming a curb spot over my allotted minutes.
Ooooooh!!!!
Look at all the Democrat voters!!!!
IMHO
Many.
A few years ago Manassas, VA began to address its illegal alien problem by enforcing building occupancy codes.
Times this fraud by the millions.
Just try getting caught driving around without insurance or a license. You will get a massive fine guaranteed, probably get your car impounded and possibly even get locked up.
OTOH, if you are an illegal alien, the arresting cop in most places is instructed to do no more than give you a verbal warning and walk away.
So, Fox News is now using the "Undocumented Workers" lie.
Remind me again why liberals are mad at "conservative" Fox?
How dare these States interrupt their "good" works. /s
Trump effect?
Someone needs to write a How to Guide on how to become an illegal alien and reap the benefits accordingly.
Free Food, Free lodging, free drugs, free transportation, how to drive legally without a license and insurance, free hospital visits, allowed to rape and murder without punishment, how to work and not pay SS or taxes, how to obtain SS payments without paying in to the system.
Actually, a lot of government workers (even at the county level implementing government programs) are encouraged to sign up as many entrants as possible. It means bigger budgets, more admin and fluff rake offs, more employees, and job stability.
The primary purpose of any government entity is to first establish its need and then to perpetuate itself.
In my haste to read the article, I may have missed the part where the Undocumented workers” were turned over to ICE for deportation proceedings. I am sure that was just an oversight by the writer(s).
The US has poured billions of our tax dollars into dirt-poor Mexico....but it never seems to reach the problem w/re supposed to be financing.
Ever hear of the MERIDA INITIATIVE?
I didn/t think so.
WIKI-—With the Merida Initiative set to expire on September 30, 2010, the U.S. State Department (under SoS Hillary) has proposed a major renewal and expansion of the program. If approved, starting in 2011, $310 million would be granted to Mexico, another $100 million for the Central American Regional Security Initiative (CARSI), and $79 million for the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI).[28]
The U.S. Congress has now authorized $1.6 billion for the three-year initiative (2007â2010). The U.S. Congress approved $465 million in the first year, which includes $400 million for Mexico and $65 million for Central America, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. For the second year, Congress approved $300 million for Mexico and $110 million for Central America, the Dominican Republic and Haiti. A FY09 supplemental appropriation is providing an additional $420 million for Mexico; and $450 million for Mexico and $100 million for Central America has been requested for FY10.[20]
Only about $204 million of that, however, will be earmarked for the Mexican military for the purchase of eight used transport helicopters and two small surveillance aircraft. No weapons are included in the plan.[21][22][23] The bill requires that $73.5 million of the $400 million for Mexico must be used for judicial reform, institution-building, human rights and rule-of-law issues.
The bill specifies that 15% of the funds will be dependent on Mexico making headway in four areas relating to human-rights issues, and on which the U.S. Secretary of State will have to report periodically to Congress.[24][25]
An additional $65 million was granted for the Central American countries (Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama); the House also included Haiti and the Dominican Republic in this bill for Central America, which is a comprehensive public security package that seeks to tackle citizen insecurity in Central America by more effectively addressing criminal gangs, improving information sharing between countries, modernizing and professionalizing the police forces, expanding maritime interdiction capabilities, and reforming the judicial sector in order to restore and strengthen citizensâ confidence in those institutions.[26]
Much of the funding will never leave the United States. It will go toward the purchase of aircraft, surveillance software, and other goods and services produced by U.S. private defense contractors. While this request includes equipment and training, it does not involve any cash transfers or money to be provided directly to the Government of Mexico or its private contractors. According to U.S. State Department officials, 59% of the proposed assistance will go to civil agencies responsible for law enforcement, and 41% to operational costs for the Mexican Army and Mexican Navy. While the initial cost for equipment and hardware that the military required is high, it is expected that future budget requests will focus increasingly on training and assistance to civil agencies.
As of November 2009, the U.S. has delivered about $214 million of the pledged $1.6 billion.[27]
My cousin lives in CA Such material exists. She found one on sidewalk
Wire transfers from Mexican citizens on the US gravy train now stand at over $20 BILLION per year? Mexico/s #1 source of revenue.
Could also involve wire fraud, US govt fraud and money laundering if it involves:
<><> cashing US govt checks using multiple identities.
<><> cashing EITC checks claiming children they do not have.
<><> falsifying US documents to collect unemployment, Workmen/s Comp, SSI, Social Security, etc.
Mexico is prolly collecting billions in fees from the US-documented 144 countries gathering at their borders to slither into the US.
A sworn affidavit by Mexico consul general to a Texas court admits that Mexico official policy is to encourage its poor people to migrate here illegally in order to access our generous welfare system......declaring that Mexico is responsible to protect its nationals wherever they may be residing.
This explosive document filed in Texas by the government of Mexico adds fuel to the debate touched off by Donald Trump.
THE MONEY QUOTE A footnote states that Mexican nationality is granted to children born abroad of a Mexican born parent. IOW, anchor babies born in the US retain parents Mexican nationality.
A sworn affidavit by Mexicos consul general admits that Mexicos official policy is to encourage its poor people to migrate here illegally in order to access our generous welfare system......declaring that Mexico is responsible to protect its nationals wherever they may be residing.
The Mexican consuls sworn testimony asserts that: My responsibilities in this position include protecting the rights and promoting the interests of my fellow Mexican nationals, and, that the main responsibility of consulates is to provide services, assistance, and protection to nationals abroad.
Ergo, Mexicos assertion of continuing jurisdiction over its nationals abroad is inconsistent with any claim to automatic US citizenship merely by reason of birth on US soil.
I lived in Manassas when that happened. There was much moaning and wailing from the Washington Compost and all the local talking heads.
I also remember the townhouse at the end of the block my townhouse was in, with a major fire caused by an illegal. One of **17** who lived in that 3-bedroom townhouse. . .
