"He has to sell the products in the US, right? Have you checked to see what the unit costs would be if he sourced all the materials and made the suits in the US, and have you compared the pricing with the type of suits and ties that his competitors would be offering?

I didn't think so.

I guess the same thing does not apply when Ford and Nabisco want to move production to Mexico which Trump is against.

Hypocritical on Trump's behalf?

Yes, definitely.

Trump has to fix the problem before he can complain about Ford and Nabisco. If they would just wait a year, maybe he will.

Textiles and apparel are different beasts. They are one example of a very labor intensive manufactured good.

Almost every other durable good labor is a very small component of the overall price of the good. The average for USA made product is that 6-8% of the retail price goes to cover labor.
